Just A Fading Memory

I stayed with them all night and one by one everyone was falling asleep. Jinxx was the first one asleep at like 1am. It ended with me, Jake and Ashley being the only ones up at 3 until Jake finally passes out. Me and Ashley talked all the rest of the night.

"So Ashes-"

"You used to call me that. So much so I was worried you had forgotten my real name." He laughed.

"Well I know it now Ashley. So anyways, tell me about me. What did we do together? Did I used to like the drums?"

"You were amazing on them. I was blown away the first time I heard you, wait I think I have a video of you playing." Ashley pulled out his phone and showed me a video.

"Okay CC this is serious shit here."

"No fun? Everyone needs fun." I was apparently twirling a drumstick in my hand. And I was almost shouting, damn I WAS really loud.

"No CC this is serious." Ashley was trying hard not to laugh saying that.

"C'mon Ashes admit it, you wanted to laugh at that." I poked him like I had done earlier this evening. He starts laughing.

"Stop it I'm gonna drop my phone!" It was shaking a lot. "Just get over there and play your damn drums."

"Okay Ashes." I went over and I, watching myself play, was equally blown away. The video ended and I was smiling but also crying silently.

"That was supposed to be happy not make you cry I'm sorry." Ashley dropped his phone and hugged me quickly.

"I'm fine. That was.......wow." I hugged him back.

"Yeah. I really wanna get you to my house and see if you can still play. Your drumset is still at my house." We both yawned and I laid back on the floor. Ashley laid back as well and we stared at the ceiling.

"It's like almost 6. We stayed up all night Ashes.......Well I did anyways." I added because when I looked over at him he was asleep. I pulled a blanket off the couch and put it over Ashley before standing up and carefully walking out of the room. I was restless and went to the kitchen for some water. The clock on the wall said it was 6:10 am and I heard some shuffling out in the other room and heard Andy walking into the kitchen as well.

"Oh hey CC." He said and rubbed his eyes.

"Andy." he started making coffee.

"You sleep any?"

"Nope. Me and Ashley stayed up talking then he fell asleep about 5 minutes ago. Jake was out around 3." I yawned again and Andy sighed and took my glass from me.

"Go sleep. You need it." I went back out and tripped over Jinxx. Did he move or something? I picked myself up and Andy rushed out. "What happened?"

"I tripped over Jinxx." I made my way to Jake and tried to sleep. Andy went to Juliet who was still asleep. Jake was awake and put his arms around me. Everyone else was starting to wake up. Except Ashley of course. When I woke again, I saw that A) Ashley was still sleeping B) it was about 2 in the afternoon and C) we weren't in the same room anymore. We were in a bedroom and awkwardly in the same bed. I scrambled out of the bed feeling my face turn bright red. I turned on the lights and Ashley groaned, pulling the covers over his face.

"Get up you lazy ass." I took his pillow and hit him with it repeatedly.

"Hit me with that one more time!" Ashley snaps sitting up.

"Good afternoon sunshine." I rolled my eyes. "I liked you better at 5 this morning." I ran a hand through my hair and started for the door.

"Turn off the fucking lights." Damn Ashley was very irritable. I shut the door and walked out to everyone else.

"Hey." Jake smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Is Ashley always this irritable when he wakes up?"

"Pretty much."

"I am so sorry for y'all. Ma-....." I trailed off. They don't wanna hear about Matt. "Never mind."

"Christian....."

"It's nothing I'm fine okay?! God." I walked back to the room I came from. Ashley was still in bed with a pillow over his head. I sighed and sat on the edge of the bed and pulled out my phone. There was a knock on the door and Andy stuck his head in the room.

"Hey CC."

"Hi."

"Hey Ashley." Ashley groaned and held the pillow tighter over his head. "C'mon Purdyboy." Ashley held out his middle finger at Andy. "Okay then if you don't want me to tell you about that guy you like."

"Wait Ashley you're gay?"

"Bisexual." Andy corrects me. "So Ashley I'll just leave you then I'd you're not interested."
Ashley sits up.
"Andrew!"

"Yes Ashley?"

"What about this guy....."

"He was talking about you."

"What'd he say?!"

"That you were pretty cool and he'd like to hang out with you sometime."

"Really?!" Ashley turns the brightest shade of red and Andy nods.

"Yep." I squeezed by Andy and once more made my way to the others. Jake smiles at me and waved me over, so I took a seat next to him on the couch. Jake put his arm around me and I smiled slightly putting my head on his shoulder. He kisses my head then slide his arm down to my waist holding me pressed against him. I blushed then burrowed into him with a content sigh as he ran his fingers through my hair. Andy came back out and aww's at us then looks at Jinxx still passed out on the floor dead to the world. Alice was up just watching him sleep then giggles when he starts to snore. It was one of those loud-stopped up in the nose-sounds-like-their-choking kinda snores.

"You're sawing logs Jeremy." Andy says in his ear but loud enough for everyone to hear. He didn't even flinch. "Damn that usually gets him up. Word to the wise CC it's Jinxx not Jeremy. He'll probably kill you despite his shy wouldn't hurt a fly looks." Alice stands and picks him up taking him back to a room. Jake was putting me to sleep as he kept stroking my hair but I tried to stay awake. He didn't like that obviously cause he puts a blanket over me and someone turned out the lights.

"This always helps me sleep." I suddenly heard soft violins playing from his phone and sighed giving in to sleep. "Another bites the dust. Ill have to *yawn* tell Jinxx he puts everyone *another yawn* to sleep." He shifts to laying down so I burrowed into his chest falling asleep peacefully.

Why the fuck did Matt wanna keep me from this life?
