Chapter 2
Benjamin (Ben) POV
I remembered her face from somewhere. It was like a stupid song playing over and over again same as this situation but it was her face looking at me as she held the place where the football hit her.
"Ben, honey, what have I told you about stabbing at your food." My mother's sweet country accent said as she downed her third glass of mimosa.
"Yah, I heard ya." I grumbled rubbing the dark circles under my eyes.
"You know hoodlums don't eat this good so you should appreciate what you have."
I paused at the offensive term that my mother used often . Hoodlum.
"Mother why do you always say that?" I said murdering my omelette with my fork.
"Well what else should they be called?"
"I don't know, maybe people." I said sarcastically.
"Whatever, moving on to better things your brother and Muffy are coming into town to have the wedding and your father wants to help him with his business while they are in town."
My head snapped up and a look of horror crossed my face as I realize the shithead and the life size barbie will be coming to make my life a living hell.
"They will be arriving in a few days."
My heart raced even faster I suddenly thought about-
"I told them about this secret girlfriend you have been keeping from us, he thinks she is just a part of your already wild imagination."
My girlfriend. The girl who did not exist, the girl who was just as fictional as children's fairytale. I can already imagine the laughs and being called pathetic for making up a girl who existed only in my head. I only made her up to get mom and dad off my back for awhile, I knew they would not want to meet her because that would actually mean taking time out of their precious day to actually get to know me.
"Your doing that thing again." My mother said frowning.
"Sorry." I muttered.
"Anyways we expect her to be present for the welcome home dinner we are throwing for your brother and Muffy."
I nodded not wanting my mouth to betray how I really felt about the situation. I pushed the omelette away and grabbed my bag. Throwing a quick 'goodbye' over my shoulder.

Math is a bitch, and the bitch did not even have the decency to be nice. The different formulas always found a way to jumble in my mind and create other formulas on their own. I was drowning in a sea of fucking numbers and if I didn't get my shit together soon I was going to find my ass kicked off of the team. I learned this a couple weeks back when I was sent to my Coach's office and he said clear as day that, "If you don't get your shit together soon I will have your white ass cleaning dirty draws'."
When the bell rung I tried to make a beeline for the door but I was quickly stopped when I heard my name come from my teacher's mouth. I slowly turned around and met her gaze.
"What's up Mrs.Johnson." I tried to say as casually as possible.
"Ben, you are barely passing my class with a D and I have to ask is everything ok?" She said genuinely concerned.
I wanted stay hell no, I have a girl's face stuck in my head, my dickhead of a brother is coming to rub in my face about how he 'took my girlfriend', and to make the shitfest even worst I had my family on my ass about them meeting my imaginary girlfriend.
