Afia P.O.V.

(Third)

The football team ended up taking home the State Championship for the third time in a row, two months has passed and Afia stood her grounds and she did not give into the temptation between Ben and her, but they ended up growing closer becoming best friends. Ryan and Ben ended up squashing their problems and becoming friends again, granted not as close as they once were. Afia was given her tickets on her birthday and she had begun filling out college applications all over Los Angeles mean while Ben was back conditioning for the upcoming Baseball season. Ben decided to hold off deciding on which college to go to for football because he didn't even know if he wanted to play football in college. Afia made sure to always be there for Ben whenever he needed her to be at one his family events and she always sat with him at lunch, to the whole school they were the 'it' couple. The girlfriends beside Ashley were all bitter to her still. But her and Ashley had also become closer bonding over the little things they had in common. Ever since she helped Ben get his grades back up from getting cut from the team a lot of the players from the different teams at school had come to her and ask her for help and just students who didn't play on the school's teams. Afia and her sister had stayed in touch and Afia ended up telling her everything that has been going on between her and Ben.

"Ashley, it is not that hard, all you have to do is just divide by pie." I said pointing at the paper. We were currently in the library because Ashley had cornered me while I was on the way to lunch and begged for my help.

"But how do you get a whole number?" She said leaning her head into her hand.
"You round up to the nearest tenth." I explained.

"Ok but-"

"Hey I was wondering who kidnapped my girlfriend." Ben said with Omar and Donte right behind him.

"Hahaha very funny, your girlfriend is smart and I need her brain juices." She said fake laughing.

"I meant to text you but she took my cellphone." I said pointing towards Ashley.

"She does have sticky fingers." Omar said sitting his tray down.

"Shhh, if you are not helping you are silent." Ashley said slapping his arm.

"Okay now let's try another problem but this time you try to do it." I said writing out a new problem.

"But it is so complicated." She groaned.

Donte took the paper out of my grasp and looked at it for a minute before saying, "Oh this is easy just divide by pie and round to the nearest tenth."

"Thank you!" I exclaimed.

"How do you even divide a fraction by pie." She said

"You turn the fraction into a decimal." I explained.

"Oh well I think I get it." She said taking the paper.

"Tell me when you are done, I am going to get a drink." I said getting up.

"I'll come with you." Ben said standing up and following me.

We walked out of the library and went to the soda machines. I pulled a dollar out from my pocket and pressed on the Sprite button.

"You never told me how conditioning went for Baseball." I said taking out the drink.

"It was hell," he groaned, "My legs are killing me."
