Falling Bit By Bit

When Robin had once again woken up, there were no restraints on his wrists. But still on his torso and legs. Least he could move his arms now. It was then that the same person had came in again.

"You are awake. How glad I am , and master too."

The person stated as they brought over a tray with food on it. It had been cut into small chunks and was shaped like birds. Robin smiled at this...it was...a fond memory that over took his mind. Back to when he was still a child of 3 and his mother cut up his sandwiches. Just like that...

"I shall leave you to eat your meal."

Stated the male as he bowed and turned to leave.

"N-No...please...it's...I'd like to talk..."

Robin called out feebly as he stared at the food. Smiling warmly, the other male just nodded and walked back in.

"I live to serve."

From what he'd learned....

The male was a robot designed by his 'master' with advanced healing capability to aid the injured. Whoever the person that made him wed...they sounded a lot nicer than Slade was...

"The master..he stated to me..that when you are healed. You will be relocated to a safe haven."

At this, Robin stopped. Relocated...no..no he didn't want that. He wanted back home with his parents. They must be so worried...they lost Sharon...they should have their other child back..

"You see.....I have my own family..."

Robin said lowly. He knew this could sound rude..considering this stranger saved his life and all..but he had to show that he'd been alive this whole time. The answer had seemed to cause a shift in expressions from the AI. He just halted.

"But...he... The master has picked you...out of many, he's chosen you as his own..are you not thrilled?"

Now , he was becoming self anxious. This AI obviously adored their creator..and worshipped the ground that they'd walked on. But...Robin just really wanted to reunite with his adopted mother and father...

"N-No I am happy he saved me! But..I as a whole...I really want to see my mother and my father again. Could...could you ask him if this is possible."

Robin could feel the tension in the air.

"...I do not understand....in the custom of humans...is it not, that if one life is saved , that you pledge allegiance to said other?"

Asked White Owl. Robin was getting scared now. But when a voice called out, the fear vanished.

"That is all, return to your section."

A soft voice called out to the AI and they just obeyed.

"Sorry, for that...I hope he never scared you."

Robin stared at the male dressed in black , he looked like a skull.

"Don't feel scared. I am here to help you. My name is Red X"

The male smiled warmly as he sat with the boy.

"Now I imagine you're full of questions and you need answers...but first... Are you hungry , I know my bot gave you food. But I doubt it's enough to sustain a boy of your calibre. Hm?"

Robin was feeling hungry..after the slight..disagreement with that robot.. It made him feel less than stellar. He'd not pass the opportunity for food up in a hurry and nodded to the other male.

"Then come, I'll get you fed and plumped up. Then we'll discuss your location issue."

At the last part, Robin felt himself halt...he really did need to get back to his own mother and father..as nice as the male was being. He didn't want to be even further away from them...they'd lost Sharon..it'd be bad for them to lose their son too.

"...Sir..I can't stay with you.."

The boy bit his lip. He could feel the other staring at him intently...was wanting to go home so bad?

"I see...well..not much we can do for the now. Not with that other maniac out there right...and I did save your life young man."

He re uttered and it made Robin feel guilty for him risking his robot to do that.

"Sorry, tell you what... Stay here the night, then when I apprehend that maniac. I'll see you home, okay."

Stated the male and Robin nodded his head furiously. This made the man chuckle as he walked with him down the hall and to the kitchen . He stopped suddenly.

"Oh, I forgot something in the study. It's right there can you go in and get me my book. It's so I can note the man that kidnapped you down on my hit list."

Asked the man as he opened the door, Robin ran in and looked around for what he'd asked but it wasn't there. It was then that Robin seen the AI walk in and the door lock.

"W-White Owl what's going on, why am I locked in? "

He said nervously to the robot.

"Oh, master X said that you have to remain here. It's not safe out there and the only one to keep you safe is him. Your parents are in his way, he's going to cleanse them. Then, you'd have him only. Isn't that great master Robin"

Robin felt his whole world collapsing around him...this man was meant to be his hero...but he would kill people to stop them from finding him...Slade...at least killed when needed...but this is too much. No he had to get out..he had to stop his parents from being murdered.

"Owl , this is wrong...you must see that...even for a robot! This is not right."

He tried to explain but the AI didn't understand his points.

"...I obey master...not as a robot..but as an AI. Master saved me...made me stronger again. I owe him my life...so..even if his acts are most cruel..I will obey that law...a life, for a life."

White Owl replied as he stared at Robin, the process just sunk in.

"I was human. But I was dying...master...rebuilt me...took my life...and he..made me new. I can't repay master, as their is no way to repay getting saved from death. Unless I am freed by master himself. I will serve until I am no longer needed, Robin."

Where he was, Slade was .. He was for once feeling lost. He'd lost his treasure..the one thing that he'd tried to get after the years. It made him feel very confused. It wasn't meant to go this way. He had planned on many things for the boy .

"Damn it, I am the kidnapper...the only one that's allowed to misuse him...not anyone else."

Slade growled into his fists as he threw a glass cup at the wall, just missing the new arrivals head.

"Seems you still have that anger, never fixed it did ya."

He taunted the older male as he walked to him and smirked.

"You...I know you have that boy. Give him to me. I got the kid fair."

Slade snarled as he threw a drunken punch at the other male and missed.

"Fair, as if...you hit the mansion after I heard of it. You stole my trophy. I imagine I have to get your dirty marks off his insides with my own marks."

Smirked the younger male as he kicked the man in the face and forced him to bend over to kneel.

"And I'll enjoy..every...fucking ...minute."
