She managed to set up Isaac and Paula. It took her two weeks which flew by in a blur of texts and exams and homework and sitting in her bedroom.
Today, Tuesday, they were going to go on a date. They were going to the cinema. Maja had managed this through a mixture of texting Paula from Isaac's phone, using his social media and befriending her herself, convincing her that they were perfect for each other.
She didn't think it would work, distracted as she was, but it did.

The date went well, Isaac told her. She'd written to him at about ten, a couple of hours after the date was meant to have ended. He explained to her that at first it had been awkward but it had progressively got better.
Apparently they'd shared popcorn. Maja sighed and got back to work on her homework.

People often asked her if she ever ended up with any of her Matchees. She replied that she didn't: one of the first rules of matching was that you couldn't like who you were matching.
She'd known that since day one: she couldn't match anyone who she liked. It was only bound to end badly.
