It is always slightly to depressing to talk to one of your Matchees over the phone and hear the excited tone in their voice as they told you about The Kiss.
Yes, there was always The Kiss. The first kiss the couple had, normally during one of the dates Maja set up. Maja listens to Isaac as she peers down at her maths homework.
If only everything was as easy as setting up couples like Paula and Isaac.
If only setting herself up with Robert was as easy.
With a smile, she hangs up on Isaac. Maybe there would be a way.
Maybe she could get her friends to match her this time.

Once she'd given it more thought, she realises it's pointless to bother asking her friends. They giggle every time she so much as mentions his name, and she feels uncomfortable talking about him, anyway.
It would be useless to ask her friends, the same way it would be useless to try it herself. She'd have to wait and see if she got lucky, that would be the only way.
With a sigh, she turns back to her maths homework. Surely there's a way to solve this quadratic. She'd recently taken a liking to maths, the sole reason being that it presented her with problems she could actually solve.
