She couldn't do it. She couldn't talk to him.

More than anything, she didn't see how she could just walk up to someone and say hi. She doubted he knew about her Matchmaker status, as he was new that year.
So it would be beyond strange for her to just walk up to him. If she was in class, she could ask about homework or lessons or classrooms, but she couldn't.
Instead, she chose to settle for half. It was better that way.

The match which she'd been working on wasn't going very well. The girl turned out to think the guy was an idiot, which was a scenario which tended not to end very well.
Perhaps it was because Maja was distracted whilst making the match, perhaps she hadn't been quite as tactful as she could have been whilst speaking to her... Probably because while matching them, she was yearning to match herself.
The thing was, all her experience seemed to serve her no purpose.
