Chapter 38

The walk home was quick and easy since we all knew it now. I don't know why it mattered but it just did I guess. As we entered camp I saw my prince wearing his black shirt and armor pants with armor on it but only to the waist up. He walked over to us and turned past me and went to Felix. He stared at him in the face. "Prince!" Ken yelled but it didn't seem to hit him. "Don't even think about it." He growled at Felix. "Already have, and done a little of it." Felix said and smirked like what you gonna do about it. Prince already had his plan made out I could tell and he swung at him and his fist collided with his gut. He threw him onto the ground and stood over him. "You don't yet?" He asked Felix. No one stopped then. Apparently if there's a fight they let it play out. "Never!" Felix spit on princes shoe. "Very well then." I saw his eyes flash red like before we met. I think Felix saw it to cause he jumped at it, but he tripped prince and tried to pin him down but prince threw him off. He jumped back up off the ground and stood over him again. "Now are you done?" He asked a bit annoyed. "Once more." He tackled him and punched him in the face. Prince rolled them over and pinned him down. He glared into his eyes like daggers. I saw the ends of his finger turn a bit gray. "Enough!" I yelled making prince freeze.

Felix escaped his grasp and stood up and brushed the dust off with his hands. "Sorry Andy." Prince said standing off. He didn't bother with the dust. "Tent now!" I said dragging prince and leaving Felix. We went into our tent and sat on the make shift bed. "You know, I know" I said looking at the floor. He nodded and held my hand. "I wouldn't leave you for the world Ryder." I said and it gave him chills. "I know. I didn't want him tricking your mind." He said softly. "Ken told you didn't he. And Daryl him?" I said. Prince nodded, his eyes full of anger. "Calm down, he didn't do or try anything." I lied trying to calm him. "Andy I know him. He did try something. He did do something. Now tell me what he did and don't lie to me." He said and looked at the ground. "He told me about the mate thing, then he kissed me and ran off. He pushed me away after the encounter with Kingdra-" he stopped me there. "Kingdra?" He asked but still stared at the ground. "The black and gold hunter that killed Jett." I explained a bit sad over the memory of the boy. "Is that it?" He asked me. "Yes." I said honestly. "Fine." He said and walked out leaving me in the tent alone. "What have I done." I mumbled and put my head in my hands.

I heard the tent door open up and amber walked in. "Hey." She said softly and patted my back. "I'm messed everything up amber. It's all my fault I shouldn't have bothered with Felix nor gone on that trip with them." I said lying in her lap. "Hey it's not your fault nor Felix's." She said. I looked up at her. "You can't choose who you like. It just happens." She said wisely and smiled. "Your right." I said and sat up. "I always am." She said very cocky. Ha. "I'll go get prince and you get Felix and bring him here." I said to her. She nodded and ran out of the tent. I got up and walked outside and bumped into her. "I found both of them do I get extra points." She said blocking my veiw. "Sure. Move though." I tried to peek beside her but she moved to block my veiw. Note that she's facing away from me. "It's better you don't see." She said. It was quiet and there were no sounds. "What's going on then?" I whispered. "Their talking to each other by the oak tree. Gage is with them and watching them. Felix just nodded and walked off. Prince jumped up and grabbed his arm. He said something to him and Felix threw his arm off him and walked off." Amber narrated.

"Gage is coming over here." She whispered and ran her fingers threw her brown hair and pushed me next to her. "Hey ladies. Prince and Felix just worked it out...sorta. Prince told him to stay away from you for a while till things cool down. Felix growled at him and tried to walk off but prince simply said please and I think it's all good now." Gage said reaching for ambers hand. They held hands and I stood there awkwardly. "That's good. But Andy stay away from Felix and his brother." Amber said to me. "What why! Daryl's my friend he helped-" amber stopped me. "I know but brothers stick together. And he'll be around his brother for comfort." Amber said. Jeez when did she become miss wise gurl. "Ok..." I said blankly. "Ok good now let's go eat." Gage said and pulled amber to the eating area. I felt my stomach growl but I didn't want to eat. Then I remember I'm not eating I'm feeding my baby. I followed them alone and bumped into Daryl. "Hey how do you feel?" He asked me putting a hand on my shoulder. "Hungry and terrible." I mumbled. "Well don't be." He said trying to get me to look up. "Don't be hungry now that's impossible." I said with a forced smile.

"Well I know that but, don't feel terrible it's not your fault. Prince isn't even mad anymore he's just busy and stressed. I heard their heading out for the first battle in the morning." He told me. I looked up at him and tilted my head. "Why didn't he tell me?..." I whispered to myself. "Cause he doesn't want you hurt. Andy you should tell him. I'm forcing you but you need to. Now not the time but soon." I nodded and walked to the eating area. I saw amber, gage, ken, and scar sitting together and the were wolves on the other side of the clearing. I carved chicken all of a sudden and walked over to the food tent to see what they got. Thank sweet baby Jesus they got fried chicken. I took a big piece of Brest and a leg. Ha. I walked out and grabbed a water from the cooler. I looked at the options I had, sit with Daryl or sit with amber. Sit with someone who saved my life or someone who helped with my life everyday. I couldn't pick I went to an empty table and sat alone and eat quickly and neatly. I listened to their conversations though. "And then The little hunter snuggled up abasing Andy. It was just breath taking. The white scales shimmered the colors of a rainbow."

Scar said telling the others about the trip. "The stupid thing grabbed my leg and just started biting it like there was no tomorrow so I kicked it off onto a tree. The demon wouldn't leave me alone." I heard Jason say. "What was it again?" I heard Felix ask. "Some little red animal. Like a wolf but the size of a child but it was a newborn." My went to angel and judas, the adorable little pups their going to have. I smiled at the though of my baby having one to protect him or her from danger. That would be nice... "A hell hound?" Darly asked. "Yes! That's the name. The animal wouldn't leave me alone when I turned into my wolf." Jason said. "It's because your wolf has dark red fur like a hell houd. I'm serious I think your dad did a hell hound." Chris, I think said. "You dumbass. Anywhore did your mate accept you?" Henry asked someone. "I don't know yet." Felix said. "Felix admit it already. You lost it bro. She is loyal to prince." I heard a thump as if someone hit a body. "Jeez no need to hit." Daryl mumbled. "Shut up about it!" He growled and I heard him storm off.

"Sorry I asked." Henry said. "Guys Felix is suppose to be the alpha." Daryl blurted out. "What! No way! Your the alpha though." His pack said to him. "I didn't get the mark. So I'm not. Once Felix realizes he is he will get the mark." Daryl said. "Then the prophecy is right about the girl being on the alphas mind." Jason mumbled. "True." They all said. I stood up and heard them all get quiet. I picked up my plate and went to the trash can and threw the paper plate in. As it turned Daryl stood there panting. "Sorry, I ran but um you heard didn't you." He said catching his breath. "Why did you run." I asked him. "I ran around the table and to the other trash can then here as fast as I could to talk to you before Felix's sees." He tilted his head to his right and I glanced over catching Felix gaze. He held onto a necklace on his neck. Jett's... Yeah it's his... He said in my mind. Daryl looked back and I heard him growl something too low for a human to hear right. "I did hear. But if I couldn't even save Jett how could I save Felix or you from death." I said to him. "I know a way but for Felix it'll be much different." He said. "The battles tomorrow so watch him and make sure you stay near him just in case." He said and walked off. But then prince will get mad....
