Prince POV










I let her go unwillingly. I looked into her beautiful green eyes. God snap out of it! I can't fall for her. I walked away slowly. "Be careful." I heard he call out as the door closed. I already miss her. Crap why is this happening? I can't fall for her she will never love a monster like me. I walked to the stable and stabled up my horse. "Easy boy." I said to him and rubbed his neck. Black with a white mane. I hopped on and lead my knights out. "Prince. Do we need to set up a camp?" Melody, a captain and a female knight. "Yes. But not near the river. Once we find them kill me all." I ordered. She nodded and fell back into the group. I lead them to a meadow far from the river. I helped set up camp. One of the most wise knights came up to me. "I heard some rumors that there are rouges out here in these woods." He counties and put a hand on my shoulder. "And that you and that cute blonde are dating." He grinned.


"Wow." I said smiling. "Who told you that?" I asked him laughing. "Gage. I mean prince gage." He corrected himself. "It would be good for you to date her. She seems your type." He said elbowing me. I felt a wave a heat go thought me. Wait why am I embarrassed? Crap. "Sir should we send scouts out to look for the witches?" Melody asked. "Yes and I will go as well find four strong soldiers and we shall go out on foot." I said. "Foot? I'm not sure if that's safe." She said. "We'll be fine." I said reassuring her. She nodded and left. "Prince." A voice said. "The scouts are waiting." Scar, an senior solider not passed him prime he has a few more seasons few in him. "I'll be there in a second."


I walked over to five knights standing around awkwardly as other set up camp. "Lets move." I said. We walked down into the woods and looked for the river. We made no sound as we walked or moved. I told them to hold up as I saw scales moving around. We kneaded down behind some thick bushes and looked under them. "Hurry up!" Some one yelled. "We need more swords!" A hissing voice said. "Rick grab those iron rods and heat them up in the pit." Some one orders. I watched them every movement they make my eyes followed. Alice and Melissa were there. As soon as Alice eyes eyes met mine I felt a hand on my shoulder. It threw me back against a tree. I groaned In pain and looked at my attacker. A snake man. Body of a human. Scales covering the body a snake head and tail.


His five inch long fangs hissed and dripped venom. I reached for my sword but a hand stopped me. "Ah isn't it the famous prince." Melissa hissed. God have you heard of a breath mint? "Still have that curse I see. Good." Alice hissed. "No one will ever love a monster like you." They laughed. "Shut up you old hags!" A young solider yelled. "What was that?" Alice hissed. "You heard me." He spit in her face. "How dare you. You whip him." Alice said to the snake man. He nodded and ragged the boy away by his hair. "No! Don't you dare hurt him!" I growled struggled to get free. I kicked the person holding me and ran after him. I took out my sword and cut off the snake mans head. The boy jumped up and grabbed his sword. Our men made a circle with their backs facing each other and their swords out.


I felt something slice my back. Alice. I grabbed the boy and ran to our men only to be blocked off by more snake men and rouges. "What do we do?" The boys asked. "What we do best." I said and looked at him. "We fight!" I yelled. Swords clashed together and bodies fell. I leaped forward and took down a rouge only to be cut bye a snake man. I felt someone punch me. I felt two hand throw me into a tree. Two rouges started punching me. The boy stabbed them and pulled me up before I could react. "Gather the others!" Melissa cried out as she ran. Her sister followed. I felt someone grabbed me and out a bag over my head. I kicked and punched struggling to get free. "Prince! Where are you! Oh no!" I heard scar call out my name. Someone hit me making me go into a forced sleep.

I woke up tied to a tree. My shirt was gone. My arms were bound as I hugged the tree. I looked back to see snake men and rouges laughing and cheering. We were on the edge if the meadow. "Alice you may do it since I cursed him." Melissa said making everyone laugh. I growled at them. I saw eyes in a bush, the eyes of the boy I helped. The blue rims full of fear. I saw another pair farther away. Melody's. I sighed and awaited the pain. "50 or till he dies boys you decide." She joked. "Death!" One cried out. "Till his blood reaches the river!" Someone hissed. I heard a crack. Pain shot through me as my back was whipped. I heard the next crack. I squeezed my eyes shut and gritted my teeth. I heard another crack but no pain? I looked behind me to see scar with a knife to Alice's neck. "Anyone moves and I kill her!" He growled putting her in a head lock and holding the knife to her neck.


"Untie him. Now!" He ordered. A snake man untie me. I stood up tall feeling the blood trickled down my back. "Prince you are untied now go over there." He said. I walked over to the bush with melody and the boy in it. "Snakes." Scar yelled and all the solders jumped out of bushes and trees tackled and slaughtering the enemy. "Let me bandage you up-" melody said but I stopped her. "No time shirt." I said. She nodded and handed me my tight black shirt. I put I on feeling it sting my back. "Take these." She handed me lain killers. I took it quickly. I was dragged out of the bush. Not again! I filled over and kicked the rouge away. I felt claws slash through my chest. I didn't look down and couldn't feel any pain. Melody tossed me a sword. I grabbed it with one arm expanded. I brought the blade to the neck of my attacker. Melissa has been slayed.


1 out of 2. Not bad. I thought. "No!" I heard Alice scream. "Stay if you want to same fate." I growled. By now everyone stared and watched as Melissa's blood bleed onto the ground. "Retreat!" Alice yelled and ran way crying. Her scales frilled and her eyes narrow as she ran. As the last one left I felt weak all of a sudden. I fell to my knees and face first into the soft dirt. "Prince!" Someone yelled. I heard people running. "Go to the castle and get prince gage!" Melody yelled. I was forced into another sleep.




Melody POV










I kneed before his body. "Go to the castle and get prince gage!" I yelled. His eyes closed. Scar and another knight carried his body to camp. We laid him in a cote and called a nurse over. "Treat the others first." I heard him mumble before going out again. I walked outside the ten looking for gage. I the guard and gage. But there was someone else behind them. A blonde girl with eyes full of fear. Once they hopped off their horses I yelled to them. "This way!" I yelled and lead them to the large tent containing prince Wolfe and wounded men. "Prince Wolfe!" Gage exclaimed running to a the prince. The blonde followed and kneed before the cote. What laid before the blonde horrified her. Her eyes examined every cut and scratch on his body. "Is he dead?" Gage asked fearful. I took a deep breath. "He lost a lot of blood. He might." I said sadly. Her eyes widened with horror.
