The men turned and stared at Angie with surprise as the two dogs burst into a barking choir. Angie looked at the men and smiled sheepishly. "Uh...Hi" She managed to say. "Well hello little lady." One of the men said as he stood. "Shut the hell up!" Another man yelled to the dogs which shut up immediately. The man that stood was wearing a sleeveless shirt and cargo shorts. He had a newly shaved face and brown hair that looked like a used mop on the top of his head. "What are you doing up here?" He said as he took a step closer. "You're supposed to be in the basement." Another step "It's my turn next and i don't feel like waiting for another girl to come around." In three more steps he was right in front of her. "So why don't you go back down there like a good little girl and lay down on the bed and just get this over with." He put both hands on her shoulders and bent over to be eye to eye with her "Okay?" He licked his lips and stared into her eye. Angie stared back not knowing what to do. "I would like so fresh air." She said yelling at herself for not thinking of something better. "Nice try." With a hard shove the man pushed her down the stairs breaking her neck as she fell. Darkness, no sound, no light only dark. "Sanctuary." Angie thought. She let the darkness surround her and take hold. She let it seep into her mind. Into her heart and soul. She was one with the dark, she believed she was dark. She believed that the light would cut into her, make her disappear. She was safe from the outside world where she was. Then she opened her eyes. She was outside still in her undergarments. She glanced around, she was in the middle of nowhere. There wasn't anything around except for a rickety old house that sat behind her. As Angie was trying to figure out where she was she heard barking coming from the house which was a queue to leave. she jumped up from where she was sitting and took off running down a dirt road which ran right next to the house. She ran for what seemed like miles and when she turned around the house was nothing but a disfigured shadow in the distance. Angie glanced around again trying to find a place to stay the night. Her eyes landed on a small shed that sat next to what looked like a destroyed building. Running as fast as her legs would allow her, she made it to the debris in mere seconds. There wasn't anything left of the building worth taking so she opened the shed door. The minute the dust cleared she immediately regretted her decision. Inside was a family of raccoons. They stared at her in horror and Angie returned the look then quickly closed the door. "Well fuck." She yelled out as she slumped to the ground. Tears started running down her cheeks. She buried her face in her knees and cried. She was nearly asleep when from down the road an engine roared. The sound got louder as the vehicle got closer, but Angie didn't care. She didn't care if she was used as a sex slave or shot on the spot, she just wanted to go home. The vehicle slowed and came to a stop in front of where she was sitting, the engine was cut and a door opened. She jumped as the door was slammed shut, and the crunch of gravel echoed in her head as the unknown approached her. The footsteps stopped and a wave of air went across her, sending chills down her spine. "Hey you alright?" A woman's voice broke the silence. Angie looked up and fear filled her eyes as she saw the muzzle of a gun pointed at her head. She glanced up at the woman in horror. The woman lowered her gun as she stared into Angie's eyes. "Oh thank god, you're not one of them." She said as she held out her hand. "Names Robin. Sorry if i scared you." Angie hesitated then grabbed her hand. "My..My name's Angie" She said as Robin pulled her to her feet. "Well it's nice to meet you Angie. Listen it's getting dark out do you have anywhere to go?" Angie look over Robin as she glanced around. She was a young woman, couldn't be older than 35, she had black hair that was tied into a ponytail behind her head. She had a pink tank top on along with skinny jeans. "If not you could always ride with me. I'm actually looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights." Angie nodded and glanced behind Robin at the black pickup truck. "Alright let's go. I have a blanket you can use since you don't seem to be wearing real clothes." Robin said glancing at her outfit. Angie blushed and wrapped her arms around herself. The woman walked over to the truck and opened the passenger door and motioned Angie inside. She obediently walked over and got in and immediately covered up with the blanket that was on the floor. Robin shut her door and jumped in the driver's seat, started the engine and drove. Angie slipped off to sleep as she watched the dirt road fly pass. "Safety." She thought as she finally fell into the dream world. Angie woke up to find that the truck was stopped and Robin was gone. She quickly glanced around hoping to see if she was outside but it was too dark to see anything “I'm alone again.” Tears filled her eyes. She covered her head with the blanket “So alone.”
