The two months had passed by quicker than expected and Luke sat at the hatch in the floor with his legs dangling off the edge. Reece handed him a black duffle bag, Luke dropping it into the hole, that was a tunnel that ran all the way to the other side of the island and onto the beach, where they'd hidden the jeep in some bushes.

"You know the plan?" Reece asked his husband, Luke sitting there with a hand on his four-month bump, he was getting bigger now and every time Reece was getting a little more terrified with looking after Luke.

Luke nodded, "yes, at eight I go down the hatch and go to the car and if you're not there by ten thirty then I-then I leave without you."

Reece hummed, "good."

"But I'm not gonna leave you behind," Luke said, making Reece give him a look. "You're my husband, I can't just leave you to be arrested or killed--"

"But I can't let them hurt you." Reece said, "I won't let that happen, I'd rather die than see you hurt."

Luke sighed, "just please come to the jeep when you get the chance."

"I'll try my best," Reece said, helping Luke stand up once all the bags they needed were in the hatch.

"Where do we go after this?" Luke asked.

"Ashton has someone waiting for us at the private airfield, then we go to London," Reece answered, making Luke nod. Reece sensed his husband's scepticism and sighed, pulling him in for a hug. "We'll be okay, I promise you."

Luke nodded, "I trust you, just please make sure you get to me, I don't want to leave without you."

Later in the day, Luke sat in the window upstairs, watching as Reece lay traps in the forest outside their house, the forest was the obvious place for the CIA to lay their attack because it was so heavily covered. But Reece and Luke knew the forest out back more than they did, so they had the upper hand.

Luke leant his head on the glass and realised how much he'd miss the house, he glanced at the bed and realised they'd conceived their baby there, they'd made a life here and it was going to get ripped away from them today.

Luke got up, finding some scrap paper before he wrote out two letters, one for his work at the bakery and another to send to his mother. He didn't want to just bail on his job, he needed an excuse because he'd made friends there and he didn't want to seem like he was just leaving, he needed a reason to. Once he'd written them, and put them in an envelope he went down the stairs slowly and to the back door. He opened the door to Reece who looked up, "don't come down here."

"Why?"

"There's a trip wire, I'm trying to secure it," Reece said. "What's up baby?"

"Can we post these, please? I don't want to disappear on my job." Luke said, holding up the papers and wiggling them for effect.

Reece nodded, "okay, give me ten minutes and we can go to the post box."

Reece finished up the things outside before the two of them walked the short ten minute walk to a post box that was in the middle of no where, but it did get used a lot, there were other people like Reece and Luke who lived in the middle of nowhere by the ocean.

Luke posted the letters in the post box before he smiled at Reece, "what?" Reece asked, seeing Luke's sweet smile. "Why're you so giggly."

Luke simply grabbed Reece's hand, pressing it to his tummy, "I felt a flutter." He whispered.
