Chapter 10
I woke up at six the next morning. I was so nervous that I hadn't slept much that night. I was excited to be with Vince, but still. This was my first time to go to New York, to meet his family, and to be able to spend so much time with him for ten whole days. A lot can happen in ten days.
I got out of bed and hopped in the shower. I decided to wear something simple. I grabbed dark jeans, a plain grey shirt, and topped it off with a simple, brown leather jacket. I curled my hair just a little and applied some makeup on. When I was ready, I walked down to the living room.
I heard my doorbell ring. "Seven o'clock sharp, Vince. Nice," I thought to myself.
I opened the door to see him in jeans, a polo, and dark shades. "Ready to go, my love?" he asked me with a grin.
"Yes, just let me go get my bags."
"I'll help you," he said sweetly. Suddenly, he grabbed my hand and pushed me up against the wall. He leaned his face close to mine and smashed his lips onto mine. He kissed me a long time. I was getting into it because I reached up and put my hands in his hair, and he had his hands on my waist. He pulled away too damn soon.
"Sorry, just had to give you a good morning kiss, love," he said to me sweetly.
"I hope all of our good morning kisses are that good," I said in a flirty way.
"Oh, believe me, they will be Lauren."
It gave me the chills when he called me Lauren.
He took my bags and carried them out to the car. Once we were inside, I couldn't take it anymore. Suddenly I blurted out, "I'm so nervous about meeting your parents."
He chuckled. "Don't be. They'll love you, I just know it." He reached over and took my hand in his.
I still get butterflies every time he touches me.
"Vince, I'm nervous, but at the same time, I'm excited. I've never been to a big city like New York before and I'm so glad I'm going with you," I said.
He smiled. "There's no other person I'd rather be with," he said as he kissed my hand. Gosh, he was so sweet. If we didn't have a plane to catch, I would tell him to stop the car and have my way with him then and there.
We reached the airport after about an hours worth of driving. We went through security and boarded the plane. It had been my first time to ride in a plane, so I was pretty nervous about that too. "Love, don't you trust me?" Vince asked as he took my hand.
"Yes, of course I do, Vince," I replied.
"Then relax and enjoy yourself. Leave everything else up to me." He gave me a soft kiss on the lips.
"You're right, I'm sorry," I said. I leaned over and returned the kiss. His hand went up to my cheek, and he pulled away. He looked into my eyes for a moment and then kissed my nose. I rested my head on his chest has he played with my hair. I eventually drifted off to sleep.

We got off the plane and we made our way through the airport. There are so many people in New York. "We will take our stuff to the hotel, rest a while, and then meet up with my parents. We don't have to meet them until six, so we have plenty of time to do what we want," he said has he grinned at me and gave me a wink. If I wasn't blushing before, I knew I was then.
He put his arm around me and he called out for a cab. Once we got in I pulled his face to mine and gave him a long, slow kiss. Which he returned when I pulled away by taking my face in his hands and kissed me with even more passion. We had to stop eventually because we were in a cab, and we didn't want to do anything to embarrass ourselves.
