I begin to close up for the day. The rink had gotten less and less crowded as the hours passed until not a single person was left.

Letting out a sigh of exhaustion I start to arrange all the equipment carefully making sure that not a single thing was out of place. The clinic had always been very busy and keeping it perfectly put together was a difficult task.

My watch read 7:45 which meant that my parents would arrive in 20 minutes, which also meant that I had some free time on my hands.

I quickly packed my things and sped walked to the lockers before finding locker 2A. Ruffling through my bag I found my key & unlocked the locker revealing my own pair of skating equipment.

Grabbing it I decided to just wear it once I was in the rink to save time.  But upon walking in I found out that it wasn't unoccupied anymore.

There in the middle of the rink stood a boy about my age. Tall, lanky, with blond hair, he looked like he came out of a fairytale book. He was still, eyes closed and hands resting on his sides as if the world was disappearing from his mind.

The proper thing to do would be to ask him why he was here at such an hour but I couldn't find my voice. My eyes couldn't look away, as if I was in a trance watching him.

Suddenly the first movement of Moonlight sonata filled the room and he began to skate quite gracefully and slowly at first in lieu with the music. I found myself watching in awe as he moved with such skill. He jumped, performing a double toe spin and a spread eagle perfectly. The music began to speed up as did he, his movement becoming more frantic and impatient as if he were telling a story and we were reaching it's climax.

Out of nowhere he suddenly made a combination of a  triple Lutz and a quadruple salchow. I let out a small gasp as he landed the maneuver flawlessly, eyes still closed and unfazed. He began to spin faster and faster. I was afraid that he was about to fall with all the momentum he built up but he kept his balance before slowing down.

He was tired, his cheeks flushed red and his breathing erratic but his performance was far from over. The music had suddenly hit a heavy note startling me before he began to move quickly once more.

This was bad.

It was obvious that he was exhausted. Fatigue was kicking in and at our age, stamina wasn't exactly on our side when it came to skating, especially to anything with such high difficulty. I choked as I saw him perform more and more jumps, he was becoming frantic now, his movements erratic and angry.

I then realized that this was no premade program. He was skating to his emotions, not to something choreographed beforehand.

My thoughts were cut of short when he attempted another quadruple salchow but he miscalculated and over rotated. He tried to correct himself and land properly but in his attempt he forgot about his other foot and gravity took it's toll.

He landed with his right foot but slid causing it to twist sideways. His balance lost, he landed on his right side with thankfully less damage but I knew that his ankle was at least more than sprained. He must've pulled a muscle.

I quickly regained myself and began to run in his direction forgetting about the fact that I was still wearing my shoes. He was conscious, trying to stand up but upon putting weight on his right foot suddenly screamed in pain before falling back to the ground.

"Don't move or you'll hurt yourself more!" I yelled. His head shot up in shock and I caught a glimpse of his beautiful emerald eyes. My foot finally made contact with the icey ground and reality set it when I realized that I was putting myself at risk  not wearing my skates beforehand.
