EARLY A/N: So I've decided to change the settings for the 2nd time and I'm really sorry! The book takes place some time after the end of the anime (which we have yet to reach) but I find it fitting with the plot I currently have. Sorry for the confusion!
~~~~"Yuri, my name is Yuri," he said his emerald eyes going cold.
I stiffened as his attitude turned icy in a blink of an eye. What's his problem?
He watched me, as if waiting for a reaction. During my years of traveling and meeting new people I've learned to deal with people like him, sure his shift in attitude was sudden but the attitude itself wasn't uncommon.
"Nice to meet you Yuri," I smiled brightly. His eyes slightly widened, probably expecting a different reaction.
"Uh, yeah. So how's my ankle?" He asked looking down.
I smiled grimly, "I think you've torn a muscle," I heard him take a deep breath, "but we can't be sure until I further examine it. We need to go to the clinic."
"So what's the plan now?" He asked in a sober tone, his gaze drifting off looking away.
"Um I'll need to borrow your skates, I'll try to skate both of us to the entrance then we can proceed to the clinic," I said looking towards the entrance of the rink.
It was a long shot given the fact that I was still learning how to skate properly and whether or not his skates would fit me would also cause some problems.
"Do they even fit you?" He asked raising an eyebrow voicing my thoughts before glancing at my feet.
My foot size was at least 6 1/2 and his could be at least a size or two bigger. I fumbled with my words. I nervously let out a laugh before I heard him scoff.
He suddenly began unlacing his left skate before holding it out towards me. I looked at him in confusion before he proceeded to remove his left sock as well. Handing it to me he looked at my expression and gave a long and annoyed sigh.
"You can fill the space with my socks you idiot. Use your brain," he grunted rolling his eyes.
"Then your feet will get cold," I retorted.
Hypothermia wasn't exactly something I wanted him to experience. If he got any sicker on my watch it'd be such a let down on my parents.
"What am I, a baby?" He snorted, "Unless it takes you another millions of years to get us back to the entrance I think I'm good."
"If you say so..." I trailed off. He attempted to remove his right skate but he must've been too rough because the next thing I knew he was yelling profanities before releasing his hold on his foot.
"I'll do it," I said before gently placing his foot on my lap. He flinched at the contact but didn't kick me. I heaved a sigh of relief before unlacing his skates. He sucked in a deep breath of air as I began to gently remove it from his foot revealing more of his injury.
"It hurts," he grunted before the skate was completely off. I then began to gently take off the sock careful not to bump his ankle.
"There that's done, now all we need to do is get you to the clinic, that wasn't so bad right?" I asked attempting to lighten the mood.
