"Yuri..."

"Yuri.."

The expressions of Victor, Yuuri, Phichitu, and Guang had gotten worse and worse as my fists clenched tighter and tighter. Their voices became muffled as I felt the world spin around me. She was in the hospital, she lost so much blood, she collapsed. The information sank into me as my brain slowly processed everything they had told me.

My fists slammed themselves on the table accidentally breaking glass which ended up cutting me. Stupid brat getting hurt right when I left, what the fuck is wrong with her? The stinging sensation of the cut had made me numb, a hand suddenly gripped my shoulders and before I knew it we were outside the restaurant. Victor gripped me firmly as we stood, I shrugged him off and stomped away while the others looked at each other before following me silently.

"Yuri..." I heard Katsuki say quietly once we'd reached the bridge. I inhaled a deep breath of air to calm my nerves before Victor spoke up.

"They're taking the next flight out. I'm going to go with them," his voice was sober and serious with a hint of despair. "I'm going too," Guang Hong suddenly pipped in, no surprise. The rest of them looked at me expectantly, as if waiting for me to join in.

Pinching the bridge of my nose I looked up in distaste before responding with a scowl, "Whatever, go ahead. I'll just tell Yakov and cover for you." Their expressions immediately went from concerned to shocked to disbelief. As if my decision sounded highly improbable to them. Guang was the first to speak up, of course. What a dick.

"What?!?!??"

"You heard me," I waved him off before grabbing my phone from Phichitu. Unlocking it I opened my messages to find several texts from Yakov and Lilia, the hags were at it again. I quickly began to reply stating that I would come back after a few hours. As soon as I was done here more like it.

"Yuri, please be serious here," Yuuri said with a nervous laugh. "I am being serious, you guys can go visit her and waste your time when you can just get a phone call or Skype her. Meanwhile I'll be here getting ready for the Nationals so that I can compete in the four continents and beat all of your asses again," I said before walking away to the direction of the rink. Yakov was going to have my head.

They were silent for a moment while I walked off. I opened my contacts to find Grandpa's name before clicking it to call him. The phone rang twice before he picked up.

"Yuratchka, I was waiting for you to call me. How was practice? I hope you told yakov about your ankle because you know you shouldn't strain it," he said in a stern manner. I opened my mouth to reply when the little asshole interrupted me.

"How can you be so selfish?!?!? She's our friend!!!!"

The words flew out of my mouth before I could comprehend what I was doing, "Selfish? No no I'm simply looking out for my career. How long have you known her? How long have I known her? She's a stranger to us, maybe not to Yuuri and Phichitu, hell maybe even Victor! But is she really worth putting your career at risk? If you can't make the nationals you can't make the Four Continents! And if you can't compete in those how can you make the Worlds shithead?! No I'm not being selfish I'm being fucking rational!" I yelled becoming breathless after all was said.
