Trust Me...

Chapter 17

   

Mga ilang araw din ako nag abang sa pag contact sakin ng mommy ni Irish. Hindi ko na alam kung anong dapat kong maramdaman, masaya ba o kakabahan o basta.

       Kahapon habang papunta ako sa school nila Irish para sundoin sila, I received a call from her mom.

*flashback (phone call)*

[Hello Raven?]

"Uhhh, uh, ehem...." I stuttered.

[It's Tita Kay]

"Ahh~ahmm, yes po?." I don't know what to say. I'm so nervous talking to tita Kay.

[Ow hi! I've heard so much about you. Your tito Andres and I would like to meet you.......... ASAP. Where are you now?]

Where am i? Where am I? Where WHERE Ohh

"Ahh I'm on my way to Irish po."

[Ohh really?]

I also heard she talked to someone behind the phone. A male that has a very low voice but I didn't clearly hear their conversation.

[Maybe we can meet tomorrow? Dinner? Are you free?]

"Yes tita. I'll be there."

[Okay, see you. And Raven please...]

I think I know what tita will say, "Yes tita, don't worry. This will be between us." I want tita to trust me or to feel relieve that I'll never tell anyone.

[Thank you.] I feel the sincerity of tita behind the phone. I'm relieved.

*end of flashback*

Susunduin ko na si Apple, it's around 4 pm, and then ihahatid ko siya kila Irish para may makakasama pa siya or better let her stay there for the whole night para din makapagpahinga si ate Mindy sa pag babantay sa kanya.

    
    "Kuya!" Apple shouted. I found her on the crowd as she ran towards me. "Kuya late ka hmp!" nakapamewang pa niyang sabi.

    "Sorry okay? Sorry." sabi ko na parang medyo natatawa.

     "At tinatawanan mo pa ako? hmp!" sabay irap. "Ihatid mo nalang ako kila ate Irish. Hep hep, bawal umangal." She said, tapos naglakad na siya papunta sa kotse. Minsan nakakatuwa tong batang to pero madalas nakakainis din.

    "Ito na po ma'am." I said as i start the car.

     Dumating kami kila Irish mga quarter to five. Sandali lang naman byahe siguro mga 30 minutes minus the traffic. Si Apple nakatulog na din siguro pagod sa school.

       Pinagbuksan kami ni Irish ng gate tapos umakmang kukunin niya si Apple pero I mouthed, 'ako na' so sinara nalang niya ulit yung gate and guided our way to her room.

      Binaba ko si Apple gently sa kama ni Irish and then pag tayo ko nagulat ako nang niyakap ako ni Irish and whispered "I miss you."

       I hugged her back tightly as I plant a kiss on her neck and whispered this words "Irish, I love you."

     "Awwwwww cutie baby. I love you too." She said as she loosen the hug ang while pinching my cheeks.

      Baby? So cheesy. Pero cute tsaka nakakakilig.

       Humiga ako sa tabi ni Apple and then hugged her. "Si apple ang baby ko." I said in my teasing tone.

    Naramdaman ko na humiga din si Irish behind me and narinig ko sabi niya, " Sige, bahala ka dyan."

       I laughed inside me. She's so cute, I love her, I really do. "Syempre joke lang, baby ko kayong dalawa." tapos pinilit ko siyang iharap sakin para ma hug ko siya and then we stayed there for a few minutes.

      "Heyyyyy! Ace!" I heard someone whispered. I opened my eyes to see who it is and it's Jenica. I immediately stood up and went outside the room. "Si tita Kay tumawag at hinahanap ka niya kanina ka pa daw niya tinatawagan." sabi ni Jenica.

       Nakatulog na din pala ako at hindi ko na namalayan ang oras. It's already 7:30 pm. Tumakbo na agad ako palabas, naiwan ko din pala yung phone ko sa kotse. I drove away to where tita Kay said and arrived at exactly 7:40.

       Hinanap ko agad sila tita Kay at may nakita akong babae na nakatalikod. She has a shoulder length hair and has a body like Irish. I approached her and asked, "Tita Kay?" She immediately look at me and nod, she gestured me to sit. "Si tito po?" i asked.

      "It's nice to see you, Raven. Nag order na ako ng makakain natin. I hope you'll like the food here." She said. She has the same speaking voice like Irish'. Mahinhin and ang sarap pakinggan.

      "Yes tita. Kahit ano po ok lang sakin." I smiled at her.

       "You know Ace, naaalala ko si Chard sayo. She also have that kind of smile nung mga dalaga't binata pa kami." She said while smiling. It was such a compliment for me. "So, your tito Chard, he's in the hospital for about 3 weeks now."

      "So 3 weeks na po kayong andito tita? Bakit po di pa alam ni Irish?"

      

    "The reason is, umuwi talaga kami para patignan si Chard. Masyado kasing mahal ang hospital charges sa ibang bansa. So we decided na umuwi and then ipacheck ang kalagayan ng tito mo. He is diagnosed with hapatitis b and his liver is barely functioning."

Having to receive those shocking news, nashookt talaga ako. Didn't know how to react so i just got the apologizing look.

"Kaya ka namin gusto makausap is we need your help and Zandria's friends, gusto makita ni Chard si Zandria before ang operation niya on the 31st. We doesn't want Zandria to know na may sakit si Chard until he gets treated. Are you okay with that?" Tita Kay continued

So many scenarios were running in my mind at that moment pero since Tita Kay and Tito Chard are the parents of Irish, I'll be willing to help them because they know what would be best for Irish. "Yes, tita. Noted po. Just contact me lang po whenever you plan to visit and the actual plan po."

     What tita and tito plan to do is to meet Irish before the 31st and not tell her about tito's situation. This  could easily be misunderstood pero alam ko ginagawa lang nila ito para hindi na masaktan si Irish pa at madagdagan pa ang iniisip nito besides her studies.

    I am willing to help, I just hope this is really the best for everyone and I hope this wouldn't hurt anyone.
