Camila didn't make it to the hospital until after her lunch break, much to her annoyance. She had dropped Leah off at school with the intention of coming straight to the hospital, but was side tracked when one of her employee's called in sick. Seeing that this was not a usual occurrence, she filled in and then found someone else to finish the shift.

Now making her way through Demi's door, she was surprised to see someone already inside the room.

Lauren who had spent the morning at Demi's office, had decided to relieve Rose of her Demi watch so that her mother could attend a parent teacher conference for Jesse. She had a foldable table brought into Demi's large room, and was currently going through files making notes along the way. She was dressed in her court room apparel, her reading glasses on her face as she scribbled away.

When Camila got her first look at Lauren, she couldn't believe unbelievably sexy this woman was without even trying. If this is how Leah looked when she got older, she was going to be in jail for killing fuck boys left and right by the time she was forty.

Looking up when she heard someone enter the room, Lauren froze in her seat as she took in the woman that was currently raising her daughter in shock.

She had seen pictures of Camila through the years as Sinuhe had been good in the early years of sending Lauren pictures with Leah and the family, but she was surprised the dorky teenager that had endeared her from Sofies stories of her, had turned into such a Latin goddess.

Camila was wearing a black suit of her own, skirt cut above her knee's, giving her long legs room to strut, and a red low cut silk shirt underneath her jacket.

They gaped at each other for a moment as Camila entered the room, until Lauren in a surprised voice asked, "Camila Cabello?"

Camila was surprised she recognized her and answered, "Lauren Jauregui?"

Lauren nodded as Camila did the same. Both unsure of how to interact with each other.

"What are you doing here?" asked Lauren curiously.

Camila walked over to the side, giving the woman who had been a good friend to her and said, "Sofie told me about Demi. I came to see her.... I can go if me being here is weird."

Lauren waved her off saying, "No stay. I'm sure Demi would appreciate your visit. She's probably getting sick of me sitting here quietly."

Camila nodded, and silently took Demi's hand, rubbing soothing circles into it, hoping to give any comfort to the woman she could, as her eyes teared up at the sight of her.

Lauren wasn't sure she should say more, but decided to do it anyway.

"I'm sorry about your parents.... They were good people. Your mother Sinuhe was such a gift to me during my pregnancy. My parents tried, but they had never experienced it before, and Sinuhe was just what I needed during that time. She was a incredible woman, and I'm sorry she's gone." Lauren said gently, not wanting to offend Camila.

Smiling sadly, Camila's eyes filled with tears as she let Lauren's words caress her softly, remembering the woman that had made her who she was.

"Thank you. It means a lot that you still think highly if her even after all these years. I assume you know I adopted Leah... are you okay with that? I wanted to tell you, I honestly did, but I was terrified of losing her. My parents, Sofie and I, we loved her Lauren. Form the day she was born she was ours, and to lose my mom and dad was already too much. I couldn't lose Leah too. And then she was asking me for mommy and daddy.... I couldn't just give her up, especially when she was already scared about never seeing them again. I just couldn't." Camila chocked out, wiping her eyes quickly as her tears fell.
