Sorry it's been so long guys, I honestly ment to update a month ago, but that obviously didn't happen, so here you go! Also thank you so much for 3k views! It seems like yesterday I was jumping up and down because I had gotten 1k views, and now... oh my gosh. Thank you!! THERE IS AN IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END--------------------------------------------------------
"Now Leighlah, how would you feel about moving up a couple years in potions?" He asked.
Move up a couple years? Like third or fourth? I asked, confused.
"No, I mean move up to maybe a fifth, sixth, or seventh year." Dad said, smiling.
My eyes grew wide. Move up to fifth year? Is that even possible?
"I will have to talk to Dumbledore first, then we will decide what grade you will be moving to. I was actually planning on going up there after this class. Would you like to come with me?" He asked.
I nodded, and he lead me over to the fireplace.
"Have you traveled by floo before?" Dad asked. I nodded and held up one finger.
"Once? Ok. I'll go with you. Grab a handful of the silver powder." He instructed. I grabbed a handful, and stepped into the fireplace. Dad stepped in behind me, and wrapped his arms around me.
"Now, drop the powder on the ground."
I did, and immediately green flames sprung up from the ground. They surrounded us, but we didn't feel anything.
"Brace yourself." Was the only warning I got before dad yelled "Headmasters Office, Hogwarts!"
We spiraled through the fireplace, just like I had done with the Weasleys.
We landed with a thud in the fireplace, and the first thing I saw was Dumbledore sitting at his desk, staring at a piece of paper on his desk. He looked up when we stepped out of the fireplace though.
"Severus, what are you doing here? You have classes, do you not?" He asked, clearly confused.
"Classes just ended headmaster, but I have something to ask of. Leighlah was brewing an extra potion today, and she managed to brew it perfectly. Better than I can most of the time." Dad explained.
"Well, what potion was this Severus? It couldn't have been too hard could it?" Dumbledore said, noticing the vial in dad's head.
"She has brewed a level seven calming draught." Dad stated with no emotion in his voice what so ever.
Dumbledore's eyes grew wide. "Did she really?" He asked, clearly not believing that I had.
Dad nodded, and placed the vial on his desk, and crossed his arms, as if to say told you so. It was really funny to see Dumbledore's face. It went pale, then back to normal, while thousands of different emotions flashed through his eyes.
"How..." He trailed off. Dad just shrugged, and asked the question we came to ask.
"I was wondering if we could move her up a couple years in potions. Like to a year five or six."
Dumbledore just nodded. "Let's put her in a year five class, and if that is too easy, we'll move her up to a year six."
We agreed to that, then went to eat lunch. It was lunch time after all.
The next couple weeks went by really fast. I had made up with Harry and Ron, and fifth year potions was perfect for me. I really enjoyed getting to work on potions that challenged me.
I had been hanging out with the golden trio more than ever, mostly because they knew about the philosophers stone. The only difference was that they thought dad was trying to steal it, not Quirrell. I had tried to convince them it was Quirrell, but they didn't listen. Not even when I told them that dad would not stand a chance against at stealing the stone. I had told this to dad of course, but the trio had some pretty strong points. They had said dad was jinxing Harry's broom during the first quidditch match. I wasn't there to see it, but there were definitely a lot of people that witnessed it.
