"Well, hello. Kelli Dawn, is it?" the zoo keeper said.
"Uh, yes. Is there a problem? Do you need anything?" I said.
"Absolutely, I assume you know."
I swallowed hard. I can't lose Chigo.
"Don't worry, kid. I know what your thinking. Your panda? Just let me talk to your parents."
"Yes," I said while shaking.
"Kelli," mom said. "Who's in there?"
"Good morning, Ms. Dawn." he said.
Mom checked who had greeted her. She was in shock. I could tell.
"Oh, yes? What do you need?"
"You'll know once I get to tell you. So, am I going to stay here outside?"
"Um, no. I'm sorry. Please, come in."
I rolled my eyes. He came in and sat on our sofa. It would've been precious if he didn't sit. I wish.
"What do you need?! What? Came in just to get food?" I said.
"Hey, hey. Calm down, Kelli. Don't be rude," mom said.
"Yeah? Let's see who is."
She looked back at the zoo keeper.
"I'm sorry about that. And who are you?"
"Solemn Dereckson. I was assigned to come here by an animal welfare."
"Okay, go ahead. Continue. And why?"
"As you know, pandas are endangered. We wouldn't want you to lose him. We would just want they're population to grow bigger. You can send him to our zoo and he'll be bred. But we'll give you a week to prepare. But I'm sorry to say, he'll have to live there. He needs full care. Pandas aren't supposed to be kept as a pet. Don't worry because there will be alot of care takers. You can come visit anytime to see him. Ms. Dawn, we have to settle this today."
"But, sir! I do not allow. He can't! He just can't! We disagree!" I shouted.
Mom was speechless. Dad heard my shout and ran to us.
"Kelli! What's happening? Uh, who's this?"
I told him the whole story.
."So, Mr. Dawn. I have to go in a few minutes."
"Then leave!" I said.
"Kelli!" dad said. "Be respectful!"
"So, Mr.Dawn. I need to go. Please! Answer already!" Solemn Dereckson, the zoo keeper said.
They were speechless. I didn't know what they were going to say. My dad opened his mouth. He was about to say something.
"I.." dad said.
"Please! Faster, sir!"
He closed his mouth and cleared his throat. He began to talk once more.
