They unlocked the lock of Chigo's cage and set him free.
"Hello," a voice said.
I looked back and there was Solemn Derekson. It was the first time I saw him with casual clothes.
"Hi, Solemn. Can you see that panda? She must be a great wife for Chigo."
He had a quick laugh. He looked down and I noticed Chigo was there.
"She's Dancey. She's almost as old as Chigo," Solemn Derekson said.
"Dancey? Really?"
"Yes, Dancey. She loves to dance a lot. She's been alone. That's why she's really lonely."
"Really? Anyway, I'm sorry for shouting at you last week. I just don't want to lose Chigo."
"It's okay. I understand."
Chigo ran to Dancey but he tripped right away. And I remembered, His left leg was gone and his left arm was injured. I ran to him and carried him to my arms.
"Chigo, never forget me okay? I'm sorry your left leg's gone. But always remember, I love you."
I carried him and brought him to Dancey. They looked like they were trying to be friends. Dancey will be living with Chigo now. I hope they make a good family.
I smiled at them and noticed Rodger tapped my shoulder.
"Oh, hey. Rodger, how were you informed?"
"Your dad called me."
"Oh. So that's why."
"Yep, that's how."
I stared at Chigo. I didn't really want to talk to Rodger that much. I realized Chigo and Dancey were playing with each other. They looked so adorable together. I'd really miss him a lot. Specially when I have no time to visit him.
"Kelli, dear. I'm a manager from an animal welfare. Hello, I'm Rianna Vali. He'll be alright already. Today, he'll be really busy. Chigo will have his medication, anti-rabies shot and he'll be bred already. So, either you wait for him but it'll end very late or you can come home and visit him by tomorrow. I advised your parents already."
"Oh, alright."
I went towards Dancey and Chigo.
"Dancey, take good care of Chigo. Alright?"
I wish Dancey could understand me. But even if she didn't I hope she does take good care of Chigo. Even for Chigo, I do hope he also takes good care of Dancey.
I placed my hands on Chigo's head and kissed his forehead.
"I'll miss you," I said while a teardrop fell feom my face.
I said goodbye to Chigo and left the zoo. I came home. I noticed it was night time. The time was so fast. I came to my bed and tried to sleep. This week, I learned a lesson. Chigo, he was my bestfriend. I loved him but when I let him go from the leash, he crossed the street and lost his left leg. But even if he looks like that now, I know nothing matters. I made him happy, and he was also happy. He must have felt hurt when he had his operation but happiness made him feel better. He's an animal but nothing really matters. As long as you make him happy. I closed my eyes and cried.
Dear God,
Thank you. You are so great. Now, now that I'm crying I know what you did to Chigo. He was hurt but you made him better. He was still happy, even though he felt pain. You made beautiful plan. And thank you for giving me a wonderful bestfriend. Even if he's a panda. I still love you,
I prayed and fell asleep.
