This was tragic. I almost lost him again. Let's say, he was kidnapped. It's fine, I took care of him with all my heart.
But the problem is, someone else missing. Dad is. I have no idea where he is.
This time, it's dad's turn. We gotta find him now.
"Mom," I ask. "Now, what about Dad?"
"We go home and eat lunch. There's prepared lunch ready for us. We can just eat there since we didn't bring so much cash. Kelly, don't worry too much about dad. He knows hoe to get to the house. "
"Oh, right. And anyways, why and who prepared lunch?"
"Well, it's Carter's twenty-seventh celebration," she tells me. Carter is one of the oldest veterinarians in the zoo. Not "old", but one of the people who worked in the zoo for so long.
"Oh, well. Dad's probably fine now," I say.
"Hope he is."
We ride home and go to a function room. We see Carter and my Mom shouts, "Happy Birthday!"
"Mom?" I whisper. "Gosh, it's embarrassing. Everyone's looking, Mom."
"Oh, hi Mrs. Dawn," Carter greets. He shakes my Mom's hand and I just smile. "Thank you for your greet!" he says and laughs.
"Oh, Carter, are-"
"Mom," I say immedietly.
"Kelli? Yes, why?" she asks.
"Mom, may I go to Freddie? I don't think he's used to being left without us."
"Okay, you can come to him. Or you can also bring him here do he can join us."
I nodd and walk back to Freddie. He runs to me with small steps.
"Kelli!" he exclaims with his small voice.
"Hey, Freddie boy," I say. "How are you?"
"Not fine!"
"Aw, why, Freddie?"
"Because you're not here!" he says hugging me. He pauses for a while and then asks, "Where's Mommy?"
"In Carter's birthday," I say. I was afraid he was going to ask where Dad was. I wouldn't what to answer to a young boy who doesn't even know what's happening.
"And Daddy?"
And so he did ask. "Let's play with Chigo! He's here!"
"He's here? Really? You found him? I miss him so much!"
He was jumping and rejoicing, never like before. That's how much he loved Chigo.
Outside we came, and then to Chigo. Finally, after finding him, we found him. I could see his tiny ears from the fence. And later, Freddie runs to Chigo and hugs him.
I was happy for him, but still, Dad was still missing. Can't he come back? He sure did bring pocket money, did he?
