Elounor: From The Beginning

Prologue

" PLEASE come with me El it'll be a right laugh" Alana begged down the phone to her friend Eleanor. She had met a boy at the bakery she worked in and wanted to meet up with him, not wanting it to seem too romantic she was desperate for Eleanor to come with her.

" He's bringing a mate with him so you're not going  alone" The pleading to tone in her voice was enough for Eleanor to agree but she still had her reservations.

" What if he's an arse? I don't want to be stuck with someone horrible while you and him are all lovey dovey over each other"  Eleanor added still not fully convinced.

" He wont be! Harry said he was a really great guy and plus they were on the X Factor so you know he isn't hideous"

 That was enough to change her mind completely. She didn't want to sound vain to her friend but she had to admit she did have a crush on Louis from One direction. He had everything she was looking for, great sense of humour, charm AND good looking. It couldn't hurt going to meet him just once could it? and who knows she was single..

" How do I look?" Alana asked frantically searching for her lipstick in her bag.

"  Stop fretting you look gorgeous" Eleanor reassured though secretly wondering if she herself looked looked ok. She gone for a casual look with just t shirt jones and her faithful pair of converse but was now doubting if she was dressed too casually, she didn't want to give the impression she didn't care. They were meeting the boys in a café and had arrived too early. Ordering their drinks they waited for their arrival with a mix of excitement and nerves. Eleanor had never met someone from TV before and X Factor was an extremely big deal in England. Alana had talked her none stop about Harry, how lovely he was and how she thought she had a real chance with him seeing as she had known him before he was famous. Eleanor nodded in agreement, Alana was a beautiful girl and she could see no reason why he wouldn't be interested in her.

Finally they arrived and the boys faces lit up as soon as they saw the girls, especially Louis who was instantly drawn to Eleanor. Sitting down Louis purposely made sure he was sat close to her and gave her a big a smile and a friendly hello. Eleanor pretended not to notice but she could tell he liked her. The boys grabbed their drinks and despite an awkward beginning they soon fell into an easy flowing conversation.

Louis and Eleanor broke out into their own separate conversation and it wasn't hard to notice the chemistry between them. Eleanor found Louis really easy to talk to and soon forgot all about his X Factor fame. They quickly discovered they had a lot in common and despite not saying anything Eleanor hoped she would get to see him again. They were in the café  for well over an hour losing track of time and Alana suggested they go for a walk in a near by park. Alana and Harry had been  getting cosy in the café and continued their affections during the walk in the park.

Louis and Eleanor again fell into easy conversation and Louis was surprised how natural it felt being with Eleanor and how safe he felt opening up to her about the band and the future. She in turn felt extremely at ease with him, she had never felt so comfortable with someone so soon before. They laughed together over their shared sense of humour and the butterflies were rearing in Eleanor's stomach. As the dark crept in Eleanor was disappointed to realise she would have to leave soon.

The park wasn't far from the Manchester flat she shared with Alana and Louis was adamant on walking her home so she was safe. Sure sign he likes me! She thought happily as they walked to her flat. Alana and Harry trailed behind seemingly lost in each others eyes. They continued joking together until it hurt to laugh. As they approached the door she invited him inside but he said he had to go the studio to record some stuff. He eagerly asked for her contact information and they exchanged phone numbers. They hugged and Louis waited until she was safe inside before he started walking back. What a girl! He muttered to himself unable to remove the smile from his face. She seemed so genuine and funny! always a big turn on for him was a good sense of humour. He whipped out his phone to send her a cheeky text so it was clear to her he wasn't one for playing games.

Fancy hearing from me so soon! Want to do something tomorrow? I really liked spending time with you today :)

All he could think about in the studio was Eleanor and couldn't wait to finish up and check his phone. Sure enough as soon as he was done he checked his phone to find a text from her.

I'd love to see you tomorrow you can come round mine if you want I'm an excellent cook if a ready meal counts as cooking  haha How does 4 o'clock sound? X

They agreed on 4 o'clock and the nerves were building up again.

The next few weeks passed by in a whirlwind with Louis and Eleanor spending every day together. They found out they had lots in common and their friendship quickly turned romantic when Louis took Eleanor by surprise and kissed her one day while they washed up together after a meal. 

As their relationship grew so did One Direction with the release of " what makes you beautiful" turning them overnight into a global success. Despite his hectic schedule with One Direction and Eleanor with her equally as busy schedule with university they knew they wanted to make it work. After two months of dating Louis uttered the three magic words which Eleanor immediately said back to him with no doubt in her mind. They promised that no matter what happened they would make it work, no matter how tricky things got they would make time for each other. However, as One Direction grew into a global phenomenon that promise proved hard to keep.
