The deafening screams echoed in her ears as she and Louis made their way inside the shop, several bodyguards following them in. He gave her a comforting look and took her hand reassuringly, but she was still tense. She could see the fans pressed up against the glass door armed with their phones no doubt taking pictures and recording them. She suddenly felt trapped, like an animal in the zoo being watched by curious spectators in awe of them. Louis gave them a casual wave which triggered more screams which rang through the shop almost causing the walls to vibrate. She kept her head down and stayed close to Louis as they made their way through the aisles. Clutching on to the shopping basket she could barely see what she was putting inside it, her eyes glued to the shiny white linoleum floor. Louis could sense her anxiousness and pulled her close enough to him to whisper into her ear.
" Just ignore it babe" He coached forcing a smile. Eleanor forced one too and they carried on their way, trying hard to pretend they were just a normal couple shopping. After paying for their food they faced the dilemma of getting outside and back into the car. The guards formed a circle around them and braced themselves to face the army of fans waiting outside. Louis held Eleanor's hand so tightly she was concerned about the loss of blood flow but she loved the fact he cared about her safety. As soon as the door was open slightly the screaming and camera flashes started up, Louis held his head up high smiling and waving, Eleanor stared intently in the distance at the car hoping not to make eye contact with the fans that surrounded them. The crowds overwhelmed her and she prayed to just be inside her flat with Louis, snuggled up on the sofa drinking tea and catching up on the latest episode of X Factor in peace and quiet.
It was difficult to manoeuvre through the crowds but Louis pushed her forward inside the car before getting inside himself.
A group of girls stood near the car, scowling as they watched Eleanor get inside. They caught her eye and she turned to them for a quick second before she had chance to look away she could already see the name formed on their lips.
Larry
At first they mouthed it but then became louder and louder until they were in full swing of chanting Larry at the top of their lungs. She bowed her head inside the car, wiping away furiously at the tears beginning to form in her eyes.
Louis held her and brushed away each new tear giving her little kisses on her cheek. Seeing her in that state created a burst or rage in him. Suddenly he pressed down the window and faced the group of girls who still stood by the car smugly laughing to themselves.
" I LOVE ELEANOR CALDER" He screamed looking at them with pure hatred etched on his face each scream giving him the adrenaline to scream even louder the next time.
The girls seemed taken back by this and stepped away briskly looking away in embarrassment.
" I LOVE YOU ELEANOR CALDER" He continued as the car drove away, he continued screaming his love for Eleanor until the fans were out of sight and she pulled him roughly back inside the car.
" Why did you do that?" She demanded grabbing his hand in a mix of frustration and pride. He shrugged helplessly covering his face in his hands.
" Louis you don't need to keep sticking up for me, I can take care of my self" She said gently rubbing his back, he lifted his head and threw himself against the plush leather seat. The headlines in tomorrows gossip websites swirled round in his mind.

He sighed heavily looking out of the window, no doubt he would receive an angry phone call from Modest! the next day over the bad publicity. She held him close to her, secretly pleased he had stood up for her so publicly.
They arrived back at the hotel exhausted and ready to collapse into the bed, Louis had a show the following day and needed rest. Checking his phone he noted the several text messages from each of the boys. Eleanor took the phone from him and shook her head, switching it off for the night. They climbed into bed together holding each other close, looking at his soon sleeping girlfriend Louis wondered how the fans could not see he was madly in love with her. He hated putting Eleanor in the spotlight but loved her too much to let her go, she kept him grounded and he needed her. He wrapped his arms around her stomach pondering the situation until he too drifted off to sleep.
