It's Not Easy But It's Love

In the dream Louis was waiting for her, his arms outstretched with a cheeky grin glued to his face.

" Not long now love!" He called out encouragingly to her as she ran as fast as she could to him. She ran as fast as she could but she got no closer to Louis, in fact it seemed the faster she ran the further away he was.

He waited impatiently for her, calling for her but she couldn't get to him no matter how hard she tried.

" Don't go!" She'd scream but he simply turned his back on her and began walking away becoming more and more faint as he got further away.

" LOUIS DON'T LEAVE ME!" She'd sob collapsing to her knees tears streaming down her face as Louis faded away into the distance without so much as a glance in her direction.

She awoke with a start shaking with beads of sweat pooled on her forehead looking over she noted the time as 4AM.

" Just a dream" She murmured falling into her pillow, turning to her bedside table where only one picture of her and Louis still remained. The day she and Louis went to Santa Monica Pier, both wearing their matching  hunter hats posing happily behind a Ferris wheel they had previously rode six times as Louis had enjoyed it so much. She hadn't the heart to remove it from its pride place next to her alarm clock, it was the only thing that remained that proved she had once been in a relationship with Louis Tomlinson.

They looked so happy in the picture, like they didn't have a single care in the world and the only thing that mattered to them was each other. She wished she could rewind and re live those days over and over again, savouring each and every moment.

Two months had passed since Louis left for the world tour, each day she rushed to check the post but there was never anything waiting for her. Each day she was bombarded with magazines and TV interviews with Louis saying how much fun he was having on tour and how he never wanted it to end. His smiling face only mocked her, everyday seemed as she was just going through the motions and nothing had any meaning. She knew she loved Louis when they were together but being apart from him was a pain she never thought a man would ever make her feel. The heartbreak was beyond anything she had experienced before when going through a break up. Even referring him as an " ex boyfriend" hurt her. The love she felt for him was still deeply alive. She just hoped, wherever he was he was feeling the same way...

" No thanks I think I'm just going to stay in" Louis said passively making his way to his hotel room. Liam ran after him catching him just before he entered his room, not to be seen until the next morning.

" You've got to tell her how you feel" Liam said catching his breath, placing himself in front of the hotel door forcing Louis to listen to what he had to say.

" It doesn't matter anymore, she's probably moved on and anyway it was ME who broke up with her she wont want anything to do with me" Louis argued trying to barge unsuccessfully passed Liam who stayed firmly rooted to the spot.

" You still love her?" Liam asked taking Louis gently by the shoulders and staring intently at him willing him to answer to what to he was really feeling.

Louis shrugged hiding his face, Liam shook him gently desperate to get an honest answer out of him.

" I don't think I can love anyone else" Louis said finally bringing his face up to meet Liam's tears welling in his eyes.

" That's what you need to tell her Lou, don't give up on love because it gets difficult that's what it's all about. Sometimes things aren't easy but that's what makes the good times even better. You wont find the bad times in the pictures but it's the bad times that got you to the good. You need to go to her and tell her how you feel because I know you haven't moved on. You need to stop pretending you're fine because you're not you love Eleanor and you need to fight for her" Liam didn't say anything else after that, instead he pressed the tour schedule into Louis' hand and walked away. Highlighted on the sheet were four days where they didn't have any performances or public appearances, just underneath that was flight information from California to England.
