Chapter 24

JACOB POINT OF VIEW

"No! Emma, don't you dare do this to me, I need you. I can't do this without you." Her eyes stayed close, and her breathing gets slower and slower.

"Jacob..."

"Stay away, Zack!" The anger rushes through me at the realization he was in on this.

Deal, with him later, Emma's first priority.

He walks around to face me. He looks down at Emma, and before he could do anything, I grabbed her and put her in my arms, protecting her from them.

"Jacob, I know you don't trust me, and you probably will never again. I'm sorry... I think I can heal Emma, but I need to start right away." He told me sincerely. I look at him, and I could tell he feels really bad for what happened to Emma.

I have no other choice, I need his help.

"Okay..."

"Good, but not here. Let's go into..."

"Wait Zack, we need to do this now!" I cut him off can't believe what I'm hearing.

"I can't use my powers in here. He didn't just charm your guys chains, but the whole room. We need to go somewhere my magic can work." Zack replied rushing. He gets up and I follow him carry Emma in my arms, but there's this constant question in my head that won't go away, not anytime soon anyways.

Pretty smart, Emma not telling anyone that she had powers so it would come to a shock for everyone. Definitely for me, but if my director charmed this room so powers doesn't work in here, how was Emma able to use her powers?

Zack took her back to her room, and immediately started working. He kicked me out of the room to have more space to work with and to be able to concentrate more, but I still fought to get back in, until he sent Zeke and Zeth to get me. They held me captive in Zeke's room as Zack worked on Emma. It's taking everything in me, not to force my way out.

The suspense is killing me! I respect Zack wishes to be alone, to concentrate more, but if I don't get an update anytime soon I'm going to march in there myself and get one.

"Guys, I need to hear..."

"Jacob it's been five minutes since your last update, I'm sure everything's fine." Zeth told me sincerely, but I heard a hint of annoyance in it.

Five minutes?! No way, at least an hour.

The door opens and Zack comes rushing in, his face expression unreadable. "Okay, I'm done. I sucked all the poison out of her system with a syringe thing. Of course I had to use my powers to draw the poison up on surface where the syringe could reach it, but it was possible. Her wounds healed overtime when I was working on getting the poison out, and she went back to breathing normally, but... she still hasn't woken up yet." Zack eyes traveled to mines as he told me, but I didn't stay any longer, I was finally able to go in and see Emma.

I ran to her room, to see her breathing was back to normal, but other than that no movement was made. I walk over to the couch where she was on, noticing the bed covered in blood.

I sit on the ground looking up at her. "Emma..." the tears I was holding in came out all at once. I took moment or two to breathe before continuing.

"I'm sorry, I promised you you'll be okay, but it's my fault that you're in this state. That dagger was meant for me, yet you took the blow, and it's all my fault, I guess I'm the villain in the end. I'm sorry I didn't mean to... " I turn away not able to look at Emma anymore the tears silently falling.
