            ~Leo’s POV~

Walking back from our little adventure was rather uneventful, it was about one am by the time we got back to bunker 9. I walk back into the living room with fresh clothes that are not covered in drakon spit and dirt. I turn the corner and I have to say I’m a bit surprised to see Rubee standing over the work bench again.

“You’re starting to set a trend for yourself Rubee” I say not wanting to startle her as I did earlier. Something tells me the plane didn’t drop accidentally. To be honest it kind of hurt, I know it shouldn’t I mean we literally just met for the first time today. She looks back from whatever is in her hands and puts it down and I hear a slight jingle.

“Oh, yea I guess I just like creativity, I usually write, but there wasn’t any paper around.” I approach the desk and again I’m shocked when I see what she was holding.

“It really is a shame that plane fell, honestly I never thought about having a frame like a paper plane”

“Uh, yea I-I-I’m such a klutz, I really wish I could fix it, it seems like it could be really   … important.” She finishes awkwardly. I know she’s trying to hide the ‘fall’ but I still find it really – cute – yea, cute. I know what she means about the plane, it’s almost like it’s missing, clearly the fragments are right there on the desk, but it’s still, gone.

After standing in comfortable silence for a few minutes staring absent mindedly at the work desk Rubee clears her throat.

“I should probably go, the cabin will be wondering where I went.” She looked up at me, “Today was fun.”

“Yeah, it really was, goodnight Rubee” I say glancing over again at the broken pieces on the table, I don’t like leaving things in pieces.

~Rubee’s POV~

Walking back to my cabin I think about nothing, everything, and everyone all at once.  I’m still absorbing my mother’s message, I’m not quite sure I can believe it, but why would mom lie about that, scratch that I can think about multiple reasons she would be lying, but I decide to ignore the endless possibilities. I reach for the door cold door knob and a thought dawns on me. There’s only a week till New Year’s Eve. Every year the Aphrodite cabin promotes a New Year’s Party. Everyone goes, as much as I would like to deny it, I do too. Sometimes, it can even be fun. I make a mental note to find out the theme. I open the door and smack right into another person.

“Ow!” I look up at my little sibling rubbing my forehead. “Ryden, what are you doing?” I yell.

“I-I-I- We were looking everywhere for you! I came home from dinner early- because Jacob was picking on me and saying the because I was only seven he was in charge of me so I told him I’d come and get you and he told me that he didn’t care andstartedflickingmyearand-“

“Ryden, STOP! Calm down, I’ll talk to Jacob, meanwhile, yes I’m sorry, I was out with a- friend. I need you to go to bed now okay Ry?” I guide him to his room down the hall, and lift him up to his bunk. Mine is the only single room in the entire cabin, they all share the other four. Sometimes I feel bad but I usually end up with four to five little ones in my bed and on the couch and floor each night. That’s just another cruel thing the children of Nemesis endure. Severely graphic, confusing, and horrific nightmare, mother tries to contain them from the younger ones especially, but they can still get though, I’ve learned how to channel them out and have only dreamless sleep. I even try and teach the little ones how, sometimes it works, others it doesn’t. I look in Ryden’s wide little eyes and see his concerns, he was afraid I wasn’t going to be here if he had a nightmare.
