It felt like Serenity had been running for hours, but in reality, it had only been minutes.

She could hear the boys shouting her name, from behind her as her lungs heaved for air.

She heard a bunch of steps close behind her, but hadn't anticipated how close until she felt her shoulder being yanked back.

She felt a hand pull at her shoulder and she turned around kicking the man, right in the place that made her grimace.

Ashton yelped suddenly as he dropped to the ground, holding his hand over his area.

Serenity turned around again and ran until her lungs burned with lack of air. 

She stopped running when she couldn't hear the loud footsteps anymore, only the faint murmurs of their voices in the distance and slid her body down a corroded tree trunk, her fingers combed through leaves as she huffed air patiently into her lungs.

She heard the footsteps in the distance, the crackling leaves crunching beneath their feet as they searched through the desolated trees.

"Serenity" she heard Michaels' voice call with relief, she jumped slightly, before feeling the boy lightly rub at her shoulder, he pulled her back and after a few seconds, she relaxed at his touch.

He sat down next to her, making her shift uncomfortably, his lips pursed in a thin line as he stared up at the stars "why'd you run"

Tears brimmed at her eyes. "I wanna go home," she said kicking at the dirt below her feet.

Michael looked hurt, he looked towards the girl next to him,"please don't say that" he whispered, a tear rolling down his own.

"You don't even care about me Michael, what do you expect me to say in this situation. It's sick. You can't just k-kidna-ap people and expect them to fall in love"

He looked up at the girl resting her head against the tree. "I l-love y-you"..........."w-we all do" he stuttered.

"You just don't get it, I don't wanna be a baby, i've been trying for you guys, but you dont even care"

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion "you looked like you were enjoying it though"

"I was, for the time being...... But I've been thinking about stuff, I wanna live a life, I wanna see the world"

He looked at the girl once again. Sighing, "you still can" he mumbled.

"By myself Michael, I want to explore alone. Not be restricted by four creeps" she huffed in annoyance. Prepotency glancing over at the boy.

Mikey pulled out his phone quickly sending a message to the group chat.

'I found her, I'll bring her in soon'

Before placing his phone back in his pocket and connecting eye contact with Serenity.

"How about we just go inside, its getting cold" Michael reasoned.

"I can't, I'm scared" she mumbled, collapsing back into the dirt. "They probably all hate me, it wouldn't surprise me if you hated me"

"I would never hate you Serenity, don't say that" Michael slowly dusted off his dirt covered jeans as he stood to his feet, holding his hand out for the girl leant against the tree. She hesitated for a second, before taking his hand in her own. "Will they be mad?" she asked, staring up at Michael."I have no clue" he mumbled, honestly having no idea how the boys would react.

She gently grasped at his hand as they walked through the rocky forest track.
