His eyes closed as his stomach grumbled. Calum finally stood to his feet and walked to the door, just about to exit when...

"Cal-l-lum" a small voice croaked

...I spun on my feet, my stomach flipping when Serenity sat up rubbing at her eyes. "Where am I" she questioned.

My feet found themselves over to her bed, my arms wrapping around her fragile body. "Hospital, baby"

Her cough was coarse and weak.

"Mmm, I feel sore" she grumbled rubbing at her thigh.

I looked at her state and in a matter of 3 seconds, reality hit her. Her hand started shaking as she brought it to her chest, trying to hide the fact that I might have seen that.

"Cal" she whimpered, her bottom lip quivering as her hand kept on trembling.

Her innocent eyes stared into my own, trying to figure out what to do.

"Aww, c'mere" I cooed as I sat up next to the young girl, she rested her head against my shoulder.

Her eyes scanned over my face, a small sigh escaping her lips. "Your face looks sore" the words came out of her mouth in a mumble, as her dainty fingers ran along my bruised skin.

Being completely honest, I had forgotten about the bruises I had earned that night. I had been to busy waiting for Serenity to awake from her slumber.

"Do you know that night" she mumbled, moving her fingers from my face to my chest, as she drew patterns on the black shirt.

I nodded my head, looking straight ahead at the blank wall.

She breathed a slight mumbled word before continuing "why didn't you..........Ya know" she hesitated.

"I didn't want to hurt you" I huffed, bluntly staring straight ahead.

She smiled, "well, your true gentlemen then" she giggled, her lips curving into a small smile.

Just as said the door flings open and in walks Ashton, Michael and Luke. Ashton's eyes scan me over before looking at Serenity,

"Hey baby" he cooed, keeping his distance.

She looked up at Ashton, a whimper escaping her parted lips as she pushed her body closer to my comfort. My fingers found themselves running along through her tangled hair.

"Please don't" she pleaded, moving as close as she could to me.

Ashton looked truly hurt as he stepped back, "Maybe, I should just leave" he said stepping back until he was in reach with the door. His hands pulled at the knob, then he exited. Hurrying down the hall.

Michael stood glaring at Serenity before following after Ashton.

"Luke where are you going" she worried. "Luke turned around at the use of his name "honestly, anywhere but here" he stated, leaving the room.

Serenity chortled tears threatening to spill. "They don't love me anymore Cal" she cried, burying her head in his chest.

I stood to my feet, and to say the least. For a second she looked scared that I was leaving her too.
But instead....
I gently picked her up and cradled her in my arms, rocking her ever so gently, whilst she placed her head on my chest.

Her rosy cheeks, stained with tears as she buried her head closer to my body.

I'm not really liking how the books turning out, I'm thinking of ending it, I'm not 100% sure though.✔
