Chapter Nine

Maddy's POV

Joe opened the door for me as I carried Aria inside our home.

The SDK boys were already here along with Thomas, Keith, and Shannon. They had a "party" set up.

The first thing I noticed was Ryan's camera and Joe's filming lights along with pink decorations everywhere.

The first thing I heard was of course Joey and Jonah screaming "Let me see my niece Aria!"

Then Shannon came around and said "What they meant to say was 'Welcome Home!'"

"Thanks Shannon."

Shannon and I have become pretty close over the last couple of months. She was a sister to me.

We sat around the living room while everyone got a chance to hold her.

This was madness.

"Me first!" Joey shouted.

"No me!" Jonah said.

"Obviously me!" Nick and Adam said at the same time like it was planned.

"No! I'm the oldest Uncle! ME FIRST!" Thomas said.

"I'm the only aunt! So me!" Shannon said.

"I'm being very calm so I should be picked." Josh said.

"How about me. I haven't said anything all day!" Keith said.

"I'm here you know! I've known Maddy the longest so I deserve to hold her!" Ryan said.

I gave Aria to Joe and let him pick.

He picked the order and then they all lined up.

After everyone left, Joe and I went upstairs, he put down Aria and I hopped in the shower. It felt nice to take a shower at home and not at the hospital "baths".

Hospitals gross me out.

After showering I slipped into some black yoga pants and a pink top, letting my hair fall in damp waves.

"Hey momma." Joe laughed.as he walked in and put his arms around my waist. I rested my head on his shoulder unknowingly letting a few tears fall.

He must of felt them seep through his shirt because he asked "What's wrong Madz?" while squeezing me tighter.

"I just love her so much and I love you so much. It's overwhelming and it scares me."

"Why is that scary?" he said with his loving voice.

"Because everything I love leaves me. My mom died from cancer, my dad's moving. He's moving to Boston! I just don't want you guys to leave me too." I was looking down at the floor most of the time that I was talking so he didn't see all the sadness expressed on my face.

He gently placed his hands on my cheeks and tilted my head so I was looking into his eyes.

"Madison Vanessa Anderson, I will never leave you. You are the love of my life and you've given me the most amazing gift any one could ever give me. I love you and I'm not going anywhere." he whispered before kissing me softly. He rested his forehead on mine and gave me a cheeky smile. He began saying "I love you" repeatedly and kissing my face in between causing me to erupt in to laughter.

"No Joe stop ew!" I whined laughing.

We eventually crawled into bed and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I got up a few hours later to Aria crying. I slipped on my slippers and went to go make her a bottle.

When I got back she wasn't crying anymore but she was wide awake with her fingers in her mouth and her eyes wandering around.
