Behind the scenes #1

I'm the type of person who loves knowing needless information about something I enjoyed reading. So I thought, hey what if there are other people weird like me, but about my story? Yeah. So here's stuff I found interesting about the development of this story.

I started this story my junior year in my english dual credit class, my teacher was explaining stuff I had already read ahead weeks prior and I didn't particularly care enough to pay attention. I'm not saying you should do the same, but if you're weeks ahead of the syllabus then why not? At the time I had recently read the Percy Jackson series for like the fourth time, probably fifth. As such this story was a borderline, self-insert, fan fiction. Nothing is wrong with fan-fac. It's just you should say it is.

Oh and originally the mc was a girl named Stella because I was uncomfortable writing from a gay teen perspective. Which is weird because at the time time I was a gay teen. I'm still gay, just not a teen. Calm down. It's just I wasn't comfortable being gay in writing. I don't know why specifically in writing. I wore eyeliner and flirted with the entire football team, theatre cast, you name it. I was there being flamboyantly gay and forward. It's just I couldn't write a gay mc. However I got over that and took away the t in Stella and felt soooo creative for it lol.

o.o

I'm trash, I don't why you guys like my writing.

The very first high school story originally went as such: Stella finds out she's the daughter of an angel and Nike, the goddess of victory. Then she enters a town and a person is murdered in her school on the first day of school. Which is basically the set up for Persona 4, the video game. After lots of sleuthing and teen angst love triangle between her and a werewolf and a demigod, she finds out who the killer is and then gets really convoluted before it ended with a fight scene in the rain before she dies and becomes an angel guardian of the town.

At least I got better, right?
