I pray
Every day
Thanking God for true friends
Hoping it won't end
Yet I know they will escape
All of the mistakes
That I've made
Wanting for it all to go away
I ask God every day,
I want to spend a life time
But with my past
They never last
Just one wish
To turn it all around
Why does it always tear me down?
Why is it me?
All I know is
I want to spend
Life and ever after
With people like you
So I bow my head
Close my watery eyes
Wipe my tear stained cheeks
I wish all of it will go away
The riddles and lies
So I pray every day
Life and ever after
Is with you.
