Wadding into the river
Of despair
Deepening
Dissipating my air
As it washes the hurt filled heart
Looking for a brand new start
Because I know when I say goodbye
That will be the last time,
I'll be waiting here for you
Like this river I'll always be blue
When I say goodbye to you,
The current hasn't hit me yet
When it does I'll be swept
Away from my last prayers
I hope you knew I did care
Even when I am waist deep
The pieces of this heart you keep
Swimming in the river of despair
Fighting for one last gulp of air
But I haven't had that battle yet
I will after you've left
Right now I'm just wadding in
