When he taught her how to love,
she was hesitant at first
like a kid who was instructed not to tell the truth
every time he would ask her,
"Do you like me?"
she would be silent, perspiring
afraid to say those words, or any words at all
as her first words would be
"I like you. A lot."
so she thought she had the right to remain silent
because everything she says,
could be used against her.
