Miracle

I guess you know better

I guess you know more

Only you have the knowledge

Of what life holds in store.

I didn't mean to get angry

I didn't want to stay mad

But you had taken away

All that I had

I could no longer look up

I could no longer come to you

You had broken my heart

Yet you knew what to do

You had made me a promise

You intended to keep

I didn't have faith

I was a lost sheep

You didn't look back

You didn't turn way

You just smiled down on me

In that special way

A miracle was about to happen

A baby would be born

My heart that lay tattered

Was no longer torn

You chose to love me

Though I turned you away

You made me whole again

That one special day
