Day 1099

Douglas woke up, she punched her forehead with her palms when she realized she forgot to give his gift, the pink box with her diary inside it. She placed it on the table last night, last night she also palmed her face.

She has to give it today.

Douglas went out of her bed with a yawn, the next thing she did was to go down and eat her breakfast.

She took a bath after and then opened her drawer to find some clothes after. She was bare naked but she didn't care, she looks at the hangered clothes while jamming on a Coldplay song. Douglas found the dress to wear not more than a minute, she quickly tried on a floral knee-length dress that she has never wore anymore and covered her shoulders with a yellow cardigan. She then clipped her straight 4 inch bangs on the side with the heart shaped hair pin Julius gave her. Finally she picked out a yellow doll shoes and tucked in her yellow bag on her shoulders.

Douglas then heard a sound of a screeching tire. She barely knew where that came from so she looked out of her window and found a black BMW sports car with Julius driving.

"Mom he's here," Douglas exclaimed. She ran downstairs and found  her parents sitting in one couch, her father stopped from reading his book and took time to look at her, so was her mom.

Mrs. Sullins stood up from the couch and went close to her daughter, her eyes widened as she pushed back her daughter's hazel colored hair.

"You're so beautiful," she says, "you're the most beautiful and the best daughter in the world."

The two both stared at each other, Mrs Sullins eyes were almost on tears. Douglas chuckled and comforted her mom. Mr. Sullins however opened the door for their expected visitor.

Mrs Sullins escorted her daughter to Julius. Her hands held tight to her daughter as if she was a kid not letting go of her doll.

Julius Olive stood there, poker face, but his eyes speaks onto her because he was just utterly speechless. He notices the curls on the tip of her hair being brushed away by the wind as she sways, every angle of her smile captivated him, but most of all what he liked the most was her simplicity in fashion. Julius realized that his clothes were way expensive and high fashioned, but he intended to wear it, for today he thinks, is going to be the best day for them. In his mind he used to compare Douglas Sullins from the typical twenty year old girls, but in a way he sees things it was more like a contrast and for sure she was the positive side.

"Julius wake up!" Douglas snapped. Julius hears the two women giggle, he returned them with a shy smile as Mr Sullins pats his back gently.

"They should better go now," Mr Sullins says.

Mrs Sullins reached for her daughter's hand again and caught her attention, "Douglas, be careful."

"Yup," she tells her mom, "always." Mrs Sullin felt contented of her daughter's answer and let go of her hand with a smile. She sees her daughter walking with her humble and good looking boyfriend through his lavish car.

"They're very perfect for each other," Mrs Sullins says to her husband.

"Something wrong honey?" Mr Sullins asked.

"No," shaking her head she said, "nothing."

Douglas and Julius arrived in the orphanage to see kids chattering and playing tag around the open area.
