Day 1100

"You are very fortunate Bobby, finaly we have found a compatible heart for you, one good news is that we can already perform your heart transplant operation next week," Dr Hale says, she smiles both at his nephew and sister-in-law.

"Really!" Bobby exclaimed. He then looks at his mother as he squeezes her hand with both of his tightly, "mom, there's hope."

Bobby Hale was again admitted to another minor heart breakdown. He was fortunate when his friend Simon immediately took him to the nearest clinic that transferred him to the hospital.

"Susan, would you mind if you can tell us the name of the family of this donor? So we can thank them?" Mrs Hale asks her sister-in-w by the name. Bobby looks at his aunt, also showing curiosity.

"Of course, but if I were you I wouldn't do that right now, the family are still mourning from what happened yesterday. Their son died just last night, his girlfriend was still in a coma here in the hospital," Bobby's Aunt said in a tone of a gossip.

"I hope they wouldn't mind if Bobby uses their son's heart."

"Oh, no don't worry about that. I met them, they were a very religious family. That heart came from a very beautiful family who has the want to help others especially to people like Bobby, who really is in need," Dr. Hale says to Mrs Hale, she then turns to Bobby who was adjusting his head on his bed, "and for you Bobby, you have to be ready for some check ups this afternoon."

Bobby nodded, Dr Hale left the room with an advice for Bobby, she left the door ajar as she says, "don't stress the new heart too much."

Bobby nodded as he looks at his mom.

                 -------***-------

Douglas suddenly felt the chills in the room already, she slowly opens her eyes and found herself admitted in an hospital. It was hard, because the whole time she was just awake, she hears what the doctors says, she can hear her parents, friends, Julius's parents but never Julius's. Douglas turned her head on the side and found a table full of flowers and greetings. With her bare eyes she reads all the greetings, she heard about Fiona and Gail talking with Mrs. Sullins mentioning about giving her flowers. There she saw a dozen of yellow tulips, her favorite.

"I want to see him," she says, her tears fell on her pillow. Fiona and Gail, her friends heard her as they quickly pulled her down into her bed when she insited to be layed down.

"When you get well honey you will see him," Mrs Sullins replies with a smile and so as Fiona and Gail thinking it would cheer her up.

"Liars! He's already dead, I don't want to get well," Douglas says, "I wish I already died, so I can see him and be with him."

Mrs Sullins covers her face with both of her palms, she cried. She cried because her daughter couldn'y face her, she cried because her daughter never thought of what would happen to them if she does die.

Fiona calls Mrs Sullins's name as she leaves the room crying. She looks back at Douglas, her face frowning. "What did you do?" Fiona was still the same, she wears this Gothic side of her since high school and her hair is still in pigtails and spiky on the tip.

The two girls looks at their friend, Douglas was blankly starring on the white ceiling while her tears flows down every second.

Fiona took a deep breath and rolled her eyes, she turned around to reach for her bag where she took a wooden scrabble board. "I guess this is the time for a talk in the name of scrabble."

"Oh my gosh," Gail says, "Fiona's challenging you for a scrabble game. No one, even me turns down on a scrabble game!"

Fiona rolls her eyes again but this time it was for Gail. Gail was always the one who needs the attention, she fails in class but her bubbly side always matters to her, she was never seen sad, she was the pink one, she loves to be loved and she always loses in scrabble.

Fiona with the scrabble board sat beside Douglas in her bed. She played the board on the bed and scattered the tiles everywhere. "Whether she likes it or not, she's going to play it with us."

When Douglas knew she can never say no to her friends, she did the honors on the draw by picking one tile over the many covered tiles. Her face was still poker faced when she checked her tile, she got tile A, inside her she wanted to smile, she wanted to scream like what she would always do when she picks an A tile. Like what she would do when she used to play it with Julius.

But Julius Olive is already gone, was already gone.

Gail got tile G while Fiona got L, it was a depressing side for Fiona but the two keep on checking their Douglas, checking if theri friend is also having fun with them.

After taking the remaining six tiles and added the tile they drew, Douglas then met her tiles and the letter each of them hold.

SDCAERH

Fiona and Gail wondered why their friend's face suddenly crumpled. She's crying again, Fiona thought.

"For pete's sake! Place the freaking tiles on the board!" Fiona exclaimed. Douglas's hands were shaking as she sobs while she takes all of the tiles to her hands. She placed the tiles on the board.

All seven tiles.

Fiona and Gail's eyes widened. Both surprised with two reasons.

CRASHED

Douglas threw her head on the bed and cried even more.

"How could you still be good at scrabble even though you're mourning?" Gail asked. Fiona exchanged looks with her, her eyes circles.

     Douglas shrugged her shoulders.

Fiona grabbed Douglas's arm and say, "if you can defeat us in the game of scrabble, then you can also defeat yourself from this depression of yours. Douglas, we are here for you, I hope you know that."

Douglas looks at Fiona and smiled, "I don't know if I can, but I hope that whatever happens to me there will always be the two of you for me."

"Sure friend!" Gail exclaimed with a very high and energetic pitch as she quickly tugged Douglas and pulled Fiona's hair so that the three of them could hug.
