Day 1714

Dawn

Early on Monday, Douglas heard their doorbell ringing. Her back aced as she roses up to find out who it was through her window. Even though outside was still dark, she can still see that it was Rita, the Olive's house helper waving with a red CRV awaits beside her. Douglas checked her clock, she was surprized when she found out that it was still 4:30 in the morning. Douglas still felt damped, she hasn't taken a bath yet, but she realized that she didn't need to, she did a few strerches then immediately pulled the clothes she wore out and left them lying on the ground until her mom comes back and pick it up for her. She just changed her night clothes with her casual maroon dress under her green knitted cardigan, and finally, she ended wearing a knee length leathered boots that she bought because it was really intended to be worn when she is having excessice hikes on a cold day. Douglas didn't know what the Olives are up to but when she asked Rita about it, the woman only explained that she was instructed by Doña Esmeralda to do so.

"The Olives has prepared the guest room for you," Rita added. "They also made breakfast."

Douglas's house was just a thirty minute walking distance from Julius's, but now Rita was taking a CRV driven by his grandma's driver with her. Douglas was shaking because she doesn't want to get inside on a car anymore, she never rode in a car for almost two years and she promised that she wouldn't be.

"I think I'll just walk," Douglas told her. Rita, chuckled. Douglas's eyebrows met, she saw that Rita was entertained.

"We knew you'd say that," Rita grinned, "place your bags on your baggage Anton and I will follow your walk."

Douglas jumped as she amorously hugs Rita. "Please don't say this was the reason why you fetched me here two hours earlier than my usual wake up?"

Rita replied to Douglas a mocking nod and didn't say a word.

"Mrs. Hale, do you happen to know why Bobby left?" Simon asked Bobby's mom, it was still six in the morning. When Simon agrees to have a sleepover with the Hales he knew he'd wake up earlier, he was supposed to be awake at five because of their routine of jogging around the village early in the morning. This time, Simon was late on being early, it was mainly because his friend did not forcely wake him up.

"The Olive's called me up by phone last evening, they asked me they can borrow Bobby for the whole weekend," Mrs. Hale replied. Simon's brows lifted, there was something wrong with the word borrowed. He had heard about the Olives from Bobby, they were the bridge if saving his friend's life. "Sorry, he had to leave without waking you up, he took a taxi immediately, I was worried we couldn't find one so I made him rush."

"That's so unfortunate of me," Simons whispered to himself.

"Now it's time to pack your things too," Mrs. Hale says throwing Simon's folded shirt that was just scattered on the ground last evening.

"What? No breakfast?" Simon complained, as soon as he received his shirt, he immediately wore them again.

"Simon you live just three houses away from ours, haven't your mom saved you a cereal box for you to eat?"

     "You have a point."

     "I have to go somewhere."

     "Where?"

     "Vacation."

Bobby carried his travelling bag as he reaches in front of the Olive's Gate. The sun was almost rising but the place was still cold since the last time. After waiting for a couple of minutes, Mrs. Olive who was still on his night robe jumped in surprise as she opens the gate for Bobby.
