I open the door, and immediately regret it.

Emma Sonnett is standing there, arms crossed against her chest. She seems very tired, as dark circles are under her eyes. It's crazy how she looks just like her sister. I mean, it makes sense since they're twins. Not identical, but not far from it. I immediately feel my body tensing, essentially because last time I saw her, our little chat didn't go that well. But this time around, she seems to be here in peace.

I feel my sister's presence next to me, protective as she always is. She wraps an arm around my shoulders.

"'Sup?" she coldly asks.

Emma seems uncomfortable.

"Can I borrow Lindsey for a little walk ?" she politely asks, holding a few words back. She doesn't seem to be the kind of girl who accepts to be talked to this way. I look at Allie, who is setting her jaw. Of course I told her about the sister's situation, and also what Emma threatened me about last time. Speaking of which, the blonde remains calm. Thus she only raises an eyebrow and rolls her eyes. "I won't kill her or something."

"Just walking ?" Allie asks, her bitch face on.

"And talking, yes" Emma says in a serious tone.

"Okay" I say before my sister can open her mouth again.

As I am grabbing my jacket, I lock eyes with Allie, who is not very happy about that situation. I make a sign to her, so that she would go away. After a few seconds of hesitation and staring at Emma, she finally heads back to her room, throwing an ultimate glare at the intruder. I know the first things she'll do when she goes back to her room is tell Bati how stupid I am to go on a walk with the sister of the girl I like. Of course it smells like trouble here. Otherwise, why'd she have come anyway ?

We begin to walk on the street, heading north. She seems pretty nervous, which means she's got something important to say.

"Spill it out" I say, willing to avoid those awkward dead silent moments.

"Are you and Dagny... You know ?" she immediately asks, facing me.

I frown. "What ?"

She shakes her head. "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. It's none of my business..."

"It isn't" I confirm.

"... but I can't help seeing you and her seem pretty close, and..."

"Emma" I warn her, rolling my eyes.

The girl obviously has something to say. She looks at the ground, before finishing her sentence :

"... I don't think Emily is very happy about that."

I look at her, surprised. She takes a deep breath, while I am trying to come up with the right words.

"What do you mean 'not very happy' ?" I ask, wanting to make sure we're talking about the same mindset.

"You know what I mean" Emma hisses, rolling her eyes. She then plants her bright blue eyes in mine. "She obviously is jealous. I mean, she came home in tears yesterday, and then broke up with Drew right away and locked herself up in her room. Guess who had to take care of the angry ex-boyfriend and tell him not to go after you ?" she then says, obviously angry at me.

I raise my eyebrows.

"S-she really... woah" I let out, totally astonished.

"Yeah" Emma confirms, trying to keep her composure. "So if you'd be kind enough as to drop the Icelandic and make a move on her, I'd be grateful."

"Emma" I cut her, frowning. "She said she didn't want me. She said she didn't want anything to do with my anymore. I can't possibly make a move on her now. I'm trying to move on. Please respect that."

"With freaking Dagny ? Really ?" she says, grabbing my arms, squeezing them a little bit harder. "We both know who you love. And it's not that girl with an unpronounceable name".

With that said, she walks away, and I find myself standing in the cold, my heart beating hella hard on my chest.
