Papyrus x Reader: A love to remember.

Chapter Nine: Exploring the town

After some very passionate cooking from Papyrus and some MTT with popcorn, you thought it would be a good idea to explore Snowdin town. Papyrus had given you his scarf to keep warm on you're journey.

Once out the door it was time to see what areas were now around you. You had found a cute little  shop which was run by a rabbit lady. You were quite hungry so decided to get a Cinnamon Roll with the money that papyrus had given you just before you left. On the way around, you were slowly enjoying the cinnamon roll you bought. Looking around at the places you past on the way, you had come to a stop when you had saw a place with a big sign with the name Grillby's. You decided to take a lot and gathered up the courage to walk inside. As you did you were greeted with stares, A LOT of stares. What made it worse were they were all monsters.

You stood there awkwardly until you heard someone familiar call your name.

Sans: heya kid come sit.

Snapping out of you're gaze you slowly walked over and took a seat at the bar next to Sans. Everyone's gaze still on you.

Sans: so kid how was you're trip around Snowdin?

Y/N: Huh? Oh yeah it's pretty so far i mean i have only been to the shop, Inn, and just walking around a bit. But other than that it's a pretty nice place.

Sans: yeah it is. So if you didn't know this is Grillby.

He pointed towards the fire man in front of you.

Y/N: Oh yes hello my name is Y/N, It's nice to meet you.

You held out a hand for him to shake but quickly realized that he was made out of fire and pulled back

Y/N: Oh i'm sorry i didn't even think.

Grillby: Do not worry, i will not harm you by just touch.

Y/N: Oh alright well then as i said it's nice to meet you Grillby.

Again you held out a hand for him to shake. He took it and shook you hand gently.

Grillby: It is very nice to meet you too Y/N.

Sans: wow Y/N that's the most I've heard Grillby talk to anyone before, you must  be special.

Y/N: Haha very funny Sans, but i hardly think that is the most he's spoken right?

Grillby: Actually he is correct i have never talked this much to anyone.

Y/N: Then why are you talking to me?

Grillby: Your....Soul.

 ( Just so people know all monsters can see what human souls are like but sometimes choose not too, pulling the soul out of the body is only for fighting or soul sharing so like a monster wedding i guess, also for creating a baby between two monsters or a human and a monster that is all )

Y/N: My s-soul?

Grillby: Yes i can how kind and gentle you are, i can also see that you are no harm to me that is why i am comfortable speaking with you.

Y/N: B-but how can see my soul?

Grillby: Well every monster can see a human soul. Some choose not to. Seeing what a human soul is like, their personality and how they feel around others is normal to monsters. However the other way to see a soul is by pulling it out of the body. This is either some for when a fight is accruing or there is a thing called soul sharing, which is where when two monsters are in love they both connect their souls together making them apart of each other.

Y/N: So kind of like a human wedding right?

Grillby: Wedding?

Y/N: Oh it's where two people who are in love make a promise to stay and protect each other for as long as they both shall live.

Grillby: Ah then i suppose it is quite like that, however if the two parents would like to have a child they must have their souls out and together for it to work or you could just do it the other way but the soul way is more how do i say it romantic also it works every time. Was that helpful?

You were sure you were blushing like mad right now but it would have been rude not to answer.

Y/N: Yes very, thank you Grillby.

Grillby just nodded and smile. You turned over to Sans only to see him blushing bright blue with wide eyes staring at Grillby.

Y/N: Uh Sans, you alright there?

Sans: huh? oh yeah fine kid just uh hey grillbz can i have another bottle of ketchup over here please?

Grillby just nodded again and placed a bottle of ketchup down for Sans. You had felt you had been there quite long enough so decided to explore Snowdin more. As you said goodbye and headed out you walked around looking at each and every house not paying attention to what or who was in front of you. Suddenly you bumped into a very familiar monster.

Y/N: Gaster?

Gaster: Oh why hello Y/N what are you doing out here?

Y/N: Gaster yes hello, you see i was just wondering around getting to know the place, what are you doing out here?

Gaster: Well i do live around here you know.

Y/N: Oh well yes i kind of figured.

Gaster: Would you like to come back to mine for a nice cup of tea my dear?

Y/N: Hm? Oh yes i would love to, thank you.

Gaster: It will give us a chance to catch up.

Y/N: Yes, yes it will.

You and Gaster started to walk back to his house, just to catch up like old friends.

Sorry for a shorter chapter, also very very sorry about a very late update i had a lot of mocks in school to do plus i had a lot of school work to do. Sorry if my updates are of schedule but i am very busy lately however i will try to update as much as possible <3
