Papyrus x Reader: A love to remember.

Chapter Two: Underground

You had no idea what just happened,

Were you dead?

Alive?

Who knows. All that you could tell is that you were quite comfortable, you decided to open your eyes only to find that you were lying on a bed of golden flowers, they were so beautiful. You wondered where you were that was until you looked up, to your surprise you survived the fall from the top of the mountain. How? you had no idea. You were in some pain, not from the fall but from the bruises and cuts on your skin that your father had left on you. Your ankle was hurt quite a bit from where that thing, you saw that it was some type of vine? you didn't know, all you knew was that it hurt your ankle, badly. It was pretty swollen not so much as you couldn't walk but it hurt when you did. When you finally got up and decided to explore you thought to yourself 'maybe this isn't so bad' from what was happening back home you didn't really want to go back although you were terrified of what awaited you. You developed trauma over the year and was scared to go near anyone, however you couldn't just stand there could you, no of course not so you decided to start walking.

You came across a Flower, with a face? you were quite scared, unsure of what was happening, then suddenly it talked to you.

The Flower: Howdy! I'm FLOWEY. FLOWEY the FLOWER!

You looked at it confused as to what just happened. Did it really just talk to you?

Flowey: Hmmm.. You're new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha? Golly you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!

Suddenly a red heart was floating in front of you, you had no idea of what was going on and you were horrified. Could you trust this Flower? you had absolutely no idea but i guess you had no other choice really. You realized that you could move the heart, but were to scared to. Flowey call these things that he sent out 'Friendliness pellets' when they came towards you, you couldn't move. Your body was frozen in fear. He looked harmless but something about him was off, as soon as one of those 'Friendliness pellets' touched you, you yelped in pain and had noticed that your health was really bad. You fell to your knees crying begging for the pain to stop. Just then he surrounded you with those 'things' and this time you felt it, your end was here. But then you thought to yourself 'Would anyone really care if i died? Maybe it's better this way.' At that point you said something that made Flowey's face turn pale.

Y/N: Please just kill me...

You new that if you died right there and then nobody would care so you wanted to get it over with.

Flowey: W-what?

Y/N: Please just get it over with.

Flowey: I...I-i can't.

Those words made you surprised. Why when he was just about to kill you did he stop?

Y/N: Why? you were just about to kill me anyway, so why are stopping?

Flowey: B-because.. well...wait, you want to die?

Y/N: N-no not really, but i'm just a bother to anyone and everyone around me, so it would be easier if i was. You'd be doing a lot of people a favour.

Flowey: U....um. I'm sorry but i can't kill you, you're not like the other humans who fall down here, they all fought back and tried to save themselves but you...you just took it. So i'm just gunna go now heh see you around um name?

Y/N: Y/N...the names Y/N.

Flowey: See you around Y/N hehehehe.

And with that he was gone. You sat there crying, hoping none of this was real that you would just wake up at the top of the mountain alone, so that you could find somewhere else to live away from your father and everyone else. After a few minutes past you heard footsteps coming closer towards you, at this point you couldn't have been more terrified. As the footsteps approached a goat woman came into view.

Woman: Are you alright my child? Oh no you're hurt, here let me help you.

You shuffled back in terror remembering what just happened with Flowey. The women had a look of concern on her face mixed with a bit of sadness, you felt guilty for backing away but you couldn't help it not from what happened to you on the surface, and what just happened with Flowey just made it worse.

Woman: It's alright my child i promise i will not harm you. My name is Toriel caretaker of the ruins, please let me take you back to my home i can heal you and i make the best butterscotch pie ever.

With that comment she giggled which made you feel a little better, she held out a hand to you and you took it carefully being cautious.

Toriel: Let us go my child my house is not far from here.

She gave a reassuring smile and with that you gave a small one back. Once you had reached her home she had offered you a bed to sleep on, which you gladly took as you were super tired from the long day you've had, You woke up to a slice of pie on the floor which you instantly ate as you were starving, it was so delicious you wanted to save the taste but alas it was gone pretty quickly,

Y/N: I guess i really was hungry huh?

You whispered to yourself, you went to see Toriel, yes you loved it here but you wanted to explore maybe start a new life here. You asked her how to exit the ruins and explained to her that you would come back but wanted to create a new life for yourself as you didn't want to leave which was good as Toriel explained that you couldn't anyway, 'Oh well' you thought and she gladly showed you the exit. She waved you off as you walked through the big purple door, into what would be you new life.
