{More info at end of chapter})Alexander paced back and forth. The Winter's Ball was right around the corner, and though he knew of the Schuyler Sisters' rumored appearance, he couldn't help but think of someone else.
He sat at his desk, head in his hands and eyes glued to the wall.
He sighed. How could he, Alexander freaking Hamilton, not know what to do?
He was the smartest person he knew. How come a girl changed that?
She wasn't as significant as one might think, although she changed the man's life.
Her name was (Y/N) (L/N). She had beautiful (H/C) locks, and her (E/C) eyes were to die for. Alexander didn't know much more than that. He met her on the street, falling head-over-heels for her smile. She had won his heart with a glance.
Alexander left his home, walking down the street in the cold. The scarf around his neck blew in the frosty air, the snowy wind blocking his vision. He ran into someone, nearly falling down. He caught himself and looked at the figure in front of him.
It was Miss (L/N).
"Oh! My dearest apologies, Miss!" He offered his hand to the girl, smiling gently.
(Y/N) smiled warmly at the man, staring into his deep, brown eyes. She took his hand carefully, not wanting to pull him down with her.
Alexander Hamilton pulled her up, trying not to grin from ear to ear. "Sorry again, Miss (L/N).. I was busy in thought."
(Y/N) smiled, still holding Hamilton's hand. "Oh, it's quite alright. I was thinking, too."
"Where are you heading, if I may ask?"
"Just walking. What about you?"
"Just walking."
Alexander smiled, kissing her hand. "May I propose some cocoa at my place?"
The girl grinned, nodding.
Hamilton offered her his arm, and (Y/N) took it happily.
__________Alexander opened his door, smiling at the girl beside him. "After you.~"
(Y/N) blushed, walking in ahead of the long-haired genius. "It's so warm in here..." She smiled, looking at the room. Hamilton smiled, rushing to her side after closing the door.
"May I take your jacket?"
The girl giggled. "Why, of course!"
Alexander blushed, carefully removing her jacket.
He smiled, hanging the jacket on a hook and walking to the girl.
"Make yourself comfortable, Miss (L/N)."
"No need to be so formal. Please, call me (Y/N)."
Alexander blushed again. "I'll be right back with some cocoa."
__The two happily sipped their drinks. Alexander realized his opportunity to ask the girl to the ball.
He set his mug down.
"Miss (L- I mean, (Y/N)?"
"Sir?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me to the Winter's Ball..."
"Oh, I'd love to, but I must decline."
Alexander's heart sunk in his chest.
"Did someone already ask you..?"
"No, of course not. No one would ask me... Well, other than you, Sir Hamilton."
His heart sunk even more, but the girl spoke again.
"I simply can't dance."Alexander's eyes widened. "Why, I can teach you, if that's all!~"
(Y/N) smiled gently. "I wouldn't want to be a burden, Sir Ham-"
"Just call me Alexander, sweetheart."
(Y/N) blushed, nodding. Hamilton spoke again.
"You're not a burden. I'd love to teach you! Why, we can start now, if you'd like..."
The girl blushed again, grinning. "I'd love that."
Alexander stood, offering (Y/N) his hand. She gently placed her hand on his, and he kissed her delicate hand.
He walked her to the living rooms and bowed. (Y/N) curtsied, moving closer.
Alexander gently (yet awkwardly) placed his arms around (Y/N)'s waist, and she wrapped hers around his neck.
He smiled, slowly beginning to sway, taking steps here and there.
(Y/N) smiled, closing her eyes and humming a tune as they danced. She laid her head on his chest without thinking. Alexander blushed, smiling and bringing (Y/N) closer to him.
The girl grinned, staying close to the warm gentleman.
Alexander stared at the girl, kissing her forehead without thinking. He quickly stopped dancing. "I'm-um... Sorry..." He let go of (Y/N), his face flushed with embarrassment. "I got out of hand. I'm sorry, Miss (L/-"
He was cut off by the lips of another.
The girl pulled away, smiling. "I enjoyed it...if that's alright to say..."
Alexander grinned, blushing bright red. His ears burned, and he reached for (Y/N)'s hands, kissing each of them.
He placed a kiss on her forehead.
The Winter's Ball was going to be wonderful.__
