Alexander Hamilton X Reader- Reading In The Rain (Modern AU)

"ARGH!"
Alexander Hamilton shrieked as raindrops began smacking his head. He hurried inside the nearest coffee shop, his hair all messy and his book soaked.
The barista looked at home, smiling slightly. "Is it raining already?" She checked her watch. "Thought it was supposed to stay sunny till like 3 or something." Hamilton chuckled. "Yeah. Me too. Guess we both thought wrong, huh?" The barista nodded. Alexander glanced around. He was the only one in the coffee shop other than the barista. He walked to the counter.

"I'm Alexander Hamilton, but my friends call me Ham or Alex."
"Can I call you both?"
"You can try."
"Okay, Alehax. I'm (Y/N)."
Alexander chuckled again. "Okay."
(Y/N) came from around the counter. She stuck her hand out for Alexander to shake. He took it, automatically admiring her firm handshake. After the shake was done, (Y/N) walked to the door. She looked through the windows, groaning. She quickly changed the "OPEN" sign to "CLOSED". She sat beside Alexander, quickly standing again. She went back behind the counter. "Alex, would you like some coffee or something? It's on me." "Ummmm..sure. I'll have whatever you're having. It smells lovely." Alex found himself blushing at the generous offer. (Y/N) soon came back around the counter, sitting beside Alex once more. She set a cup in front of him, smiling softly. "It's pretty light...Is that alright?" "Yeah. I drink just about any coffee, to be honest. It's basically become a diet." (Y/N) chuckled. This was going to be a great relationship.
