Blaine was currently sitting on a white couch. She was only at this auction for a meeting. She was working a deal with Michel Doris, the owner of this business. Ms. Doris insisted Blaine to watch.

Blaine, however, was uninterested in this. She thought it was disgusting and inhuman. Who in their right mind would sell a human being to another for cash? Blaine thinks it's pitiful.

"Oh! Blaine, this is our last!" Ms. Doris exclaimed. Blaine gave a weak smile as she finally dared to looked at the stage, where a group of 5 "slaves" dressed in white stood. Though there was 5 only 1 caught Blaine's full attention. The girl had long black hair and stunning almond eyes.

She was small, she looked young. Almost too young to be a slave. She looked so fragile. A girl so young was being sold?

The thought made Blaine sick. The poor girl would be taken advantage of and used then thrown away like trash.

This is the only reason Blaine agreed to come. If she could save all these slaves she would but she had to choose one, and she only had one in mind.

-

"Did you buy a slave?" Ms. Doris eagerly asked as she and Blaine were walking to the back where the slaves were brought.

"I did, but keep in mind, the one I bought tonight will only be a servant. She will be granted freedom and given a weekly pay. She will be treated as an human being, not an object." Blaine stated with a demanding and powerful voice. Ms. Doris only nodded in understanding as she now knew Blaine's views on human trafficking.

"Oh! My lovely 200,000 dollar guest winner! Let you wait no longer," The auctioneer from earlier appeared. "Monique!" He yelled, making all heads look his way. The young girl made her way from farther in the back. She was even prettier up close but she looked...

"My name is Mona-" she's cut off by a smack across her face and I immediately become defensive but I can't seem to move. It isn't my place to interfere.

"Did I say you could speak! Disrespectful ass bitch! Learn some manners!" He scolds and turns to me with a gentle smile, "Monique will be with you in a moment. We'll meet at the S entrance."

I watched the young girl collect herself from the floor and just as I thought she was indeed on drugs. The lack of stability she had exposed this without doubt.

She looked so confused, like she didn't know how to feel or think. Poor girl.

The chain was unlatched from the collar yet it remained around my neck.I knew this meant nothing but the fact that I was sold. My arm was grabbed and shoved slightly into a hallway. I followed the sign that read South Entrance when suddenly two figures blocked my path.

They were two slaves who weren't sold. "Get out of my way." My voice came out a little more brittle than I intended.

They both were taller than me. "You're going to meet your prince charming?" The one in front asked in a curious tone.

I only nodded before pausing and giving her a puzzled look, "Wh-What're you-?"

"Awe, my fault. You're still on drugs," She took a step back to allow me to pass. "Don't keep him waiting. I hope you the best," She smiled which made me nervous. Venom filled her eyes. I decided that walking away as quickly as possible was my safest option.

"Oh, and Monae!" She yelled, making me look back. Her grin widens as I frown. "Watch where you are going," She said and confusion washed over me as I stared. Before I could tell what she meant, I felt it. A sharp pain in my lower abdomen that made me groan. I turned to see her friend. She stabbed me. I gripped the handle to the blade in my stomach and fell to the ground.

"Why do you deserve to go home with someone rich? Out of all people. You're the new girl. You're worthless scum. You're even a virgin. I deserved your spot! But since I didn't get it, you certainly can't. See you in hell," she said.

She and her friend walked away while I laid on the ground. I was bleeding out fast and I couldn't muster enough energy to get up or call for help. I stayed still, bleeding out, and I blacked out.
