After class, Monae was walking through the halls, on her way to have lunch with Blaine. But she had to stop by her locker first.

She put in the code then it opened automatically and something fell out. It landed on the floor and Monae reached down to pick it up.

When she turned it over, her heart dropped to the deepest pit of her stomach. She immediately felt sick and threw the photograph back into her locker before she slammed it shut.

She pushed her back against her locker for support and tried to control her breathing as tears swelled up in her eyes.

She heard footsteps coming down the empty hallway and looked over to see Blaine coming her way. Her heartbeat sped up further.

Blaine gave her a small grin, "What're you doing here? Are you trying to ditch me?"

Monae said nothing but instead shook her head causing Blaine to raise a brow. She came closer with a worried expression on her face.

"What's wrong? You don't look too good." Blaine questioned as she reached for Monae. But Monae flinched and hit the lockers behind her.

"I-I'm good. I'm just not feeling right." She said quickly and moved so she wasn't enclosed in such a small space between her and Blaine.

Blaine gave her a look before pulling her close. She rested her hand against her forehead before withdrawing, "You don't have a fever."

Blaine still had a grip on Monae's arm and Monae quickly pulled away from her. "I said I'm good! Alright? I've gotta go."

With that being said, Monae turned away from Blaine and walked off before Blaine had the chance to question her any further.

Blaine watched her silhouette disperse before darkening her expression.

"Come out."

Gianna then revealed herself from the corner of the lockers. Her arms were crossed and her expression was malicious.

"What did you do?" Blaine asked simply, and Gianna let out this laugh that confirmed Blaine's suspicions. She had done something.

"I'm not going to allow you to have happy life!" Gianna suddenly shouted at Blaine, "Do you how many lives you've took? How many you've ruined? You really think I'd let you be happy!?"

Gianna suddenly stopped shouting at Blaine and started to giggle softly.

"Monae... wouldn't understand... ...If I told her about us... would she? If she knew your true nature... do you really think she would stay?"

Blaine clenched her fists as she grumbled out, "Gianna... I've warned you."

"What? Are you going to kill me?" Gianna grinned, "Monae will hate you."

Blaine furrowed her brows and let out a deep growl. It took everything in her not to end Gianna's life right then and there. She turned and walked off in the opposite direction.

For the first time, Blaine felt troubled.

--

Monae had mixed emotions. Anger, disgust, fear. She wanted to believe that Blaine was a good person. But apparently she was wrong.

She told Blaine not to. At the park, she told her not to kill that woman. And she did. How could she kill some so easily? So brutally?

That woman was someone's daughter. Someone's sister. Someone's significant other. And she ended her life just like that? How could she?

Monae hadn't wanted to believe that Blaine was the killer everyone had said she was. She wondered was everyone in the mafia like this? Was this the reality of it all?

It was after hours. Blaine was outside on the phone when Monae was approaching her.

"Se non c'è risposta, trova la loro debolezza. Anche se si tratta della loro famiglia o dei tuoi cari... li terrorizza. Basta avere questa transazione! (If there is no response, find their weakness. Even if it's their family or loved ones... terrify them. Just get that transaction through)!"

Blaine then hung up the phone and took a deep breath as she calmed down. She'd sense Monae coming and turned towards her.

"Monae-" "-Why you in the mafia!?" Monae suddenly asked. Blaine was slightly caught off guard for a moment before she chuckled softly. It was just like Monae to be so blunt.

Blaine shook her head, "I'm not in the mood to answer that question right now..."

Monae then said nothing but she looked hesitant as Blaine approached her. Blaine frowned deeply before grabbing her face with her hand.

Blaine brung Monae close to her and laced their lips. She wasted no time before sliding her tongue in and claiming Monae's breath as hers.

She pulled away once Monae had let out a sound that didn't settle well with her. Blaine then stared longingly into her eyes.

"Are you afraid of me?"

Blaine took both of Monae's wrists in one hand and held them above her head. She pinned her to the wall in the process and aimed for the buttons keeping her uniform shirt together.

"Are you afraid of the things I do?"

Blaine easily popped her buttons then proceeded to kiss on her chest and breast as she breathed out, "And the way I live..."

Blaine used her free hand as she slid them between her legs and began to rub on her clitoris through the fabric of her boxers.

"Sto-" Monae tried to croak out before regaining her voice and yelling out, "I am!"

A feeling hit Blaine her within her chest and she withdrew her hand from between Monae's thighs. Sadness washed over Blaine's body as she sighed deeply. She let go of Monae's wrists and slid that hand to the back of her head.

She brought her forehead closer to her lips before planting a kiss there and walking away.

Monae was left there alone with her heart beating quickly, all these confusing emotions, and raging thoughts. This wasn't the first time. And it wasn't going to be the last.
