Chapter 14

Ash and Serena have adopted a daily training timetable. They always train together in the forest to get better, together.

It is the weekend now. Serena has decided that she needs to get ready for performing so she'll need to go shopping. Serena wanted to ask the girls if they wanted to come along, however, Misty had been missing since early in the morning. Dawn and May had a Coordinators meeting. Iris was completely uninterested by the concept of shopping and Mallow was nowhere to be found.

Serena, therefore, decided to go alone.

We join her as she is exiting her room.

No-One's POV

As Serena walked out of her room, she heard footsteps descending from the floor above. This meant that it was one of the boys from her group of friends. She watched on as the figure came into view. Messy hair with a cap on top and a certain yellow fuzzball perched on his shoulder.

"Hi Ash!" said Serena as he walked over to the boy.

"Oh, hey Serena!" he replied while waving at her.

"What are you doing up so early?" asked Serena. She had known Ash for 6 weeks now and she knew that he never got up before noon during weekends. Seeing him up and running at 10AM was definitely surprising to her.

"We've run out of ketchup for Pikachu and I am thinking of catching some new Pokemon, so I'm going to Lumiose City to buy some things." he replied.

"Really?" Serena asked with an excited tone. "I'm going to Lumiose too. I need to buy some some dresses for showcases. I'll probably buy accessories for my Pokemon too!" she finished.

"How about we go together then? Having some company is always nice, right? It has been a long time since I got to freely roam Lumiose City too, so, do you want to come along?" asked Ash.

"Sure, that sounds fun!" chirped Serena.

The two then started walking out of KIT and towards Lumiose. Their conversations mostly consisted of their past experiences. Serena started talking about her childhood. She started telling Ash about how she grew up in Vaniville Town. How she would travel around to various regions with her mother when she was not a retired Rhyhorn racer. Serena then went on to talk about her friends, previous schools etc.

Ash then started telling Serena about all his adventures. About punching Mewtwo, about his Aura, about him being friends with Arceus, about him riding Mega Latios while commanding a Mega Rayquaza. He also talked about the little things, like how he caught Charmander and Froakie. He also talked about his experiences and the leagues he has taken part in.

As the conversation carried on, the two made their way to Central Lumiose, where the shopping district is. It took them a whole hour to get to Lumiose City.

"We're finally here!" squealed Serena.

Ash looked around and immediately gulped. Every single building had huge glass windows with various types of clothes on display and, judging by Serena's facial expression, Ash knew that he had to visit every single store.

Of course, he wasn't obliged to do so. He could easily walk away and leave Serena to shop all by herself... but he didn't have the heart to do so. He didn't mind spending time with Serena, however, like every other male, he hated shopping... especially with women. He used to go shopping with his own mom when he was little and running around in circles, looking at every single object in the store was not his idea of fun.

"Ash! Can we go have a look at those stores? Oh, please, please, please?" asked Serena while clasping her hands together while giving Ash her puppy dog eyes.
