10 steps,

47 8 10

He has ruined me
Because of him,
I'm the person no one wants to be
The guy who lost
Now I'm a lost cause
I look at him,
Fiddling with the pistol
I guess my anger took a toll
I remember my daughter
I don't want to be slaughtered
She would be alone
No place to call home

First step, I could go back
No, I must face the fact
He has ruined me

Second step, I remember our jokes
Our laughs, now it'll be forgotten in the books

Third step, I realize this was where
His son...
Philip died
Will it be my resting place?

Fourth step, Is this right?
No, I must fight
But- what if...

Fifth step, No turning around.
The world will turn upside down if-

Sixth step, My vision is blurry
My life was all in a hurry...
Wait- I want to turn back!

I look over my shoulder
Hamilton looks bolder

Seventh step, No
to late
I would be a coward

Eighth step, Theodosia.. Will she be waiting for me?

Nine... I dust off my shoulder...
This was the one Hamilton tapped when we met.
I'm feel a weight on me, like a boulder

Ten! I turn around- I want to go back!
"Wait!"

Boom!
