It hadn't even been a week, and Grace was already at the peak of insanity. She was sure all of the hair pulling she was doing was going to cause her to go bald.

Ally was messy, Ally couldn't hardly clean up after herself, her music was crude and obnoxious, she was rude, sarcastic and surprisingly flirtatious.
At least she knew how to cook.

It had been a week since Ally had moved into this new apartment after getting kicked out of her last one.

She didn't get kicked out for the reasons you're thinking, no, she got kicked out because her boyfriend was a butt and cheated on her then kicked her out with only what she could stuff in her duffel.

Which just so happened she knew where his stash of cash was, so she had that now, along with hers and some of her prized possessions and clothes she needed.

Grace was getting pretty mad at her, being she couldn't help but be messy. It was just in her nature, not to mention she was a klutz, so it didn't help she was too proud to say most of the messes she made were totally accidental and she didn't even know about them until it was brought up passive aggressively at dinner.

One thing she hoped would make up for it all was that she knew house to cook. She cooked dinners when they both got home from work, and packing lunches for them both.

Truth be told, she was a health addict. She loved cooking healthy, and loved the feeling she got from eating healthy, so when her healthy self had seen Grace's takeout personality, she spazzed out...

Apparently, their work hours were very close to each others so they walked together in the mornings after finding out they worked on the same street.

Ally worked at a cozy coffee shop as a barista there. She loved working there, she got to practice her mad coffee and making something with the foam on top skillz. She loved making cute or funny designs with the foam, maybe some anime stuff. She especially loved it when her art made someone smile, even if they were having a bad day.

Grace lived a few doors closer to home, at a Cafe. From what she told Ally, she's a waitress there. Surprisingly she got paid less then Ally did, not that she'd ever let Grace find that out.

She but her lip as she sat across from Grace at dinner. Grace was glaring at her, so she suspected she had done something that she couldn't remember again...

"So, how was work?" ALLY asked, trying to keep a poker face instead of letting her know how nervous she was.

She grimaced slightly as the glare intensified to a whole new level...

"Fine... it was fine," Grace practically growled.

"What did I do this time?" She sighed... wait... She said that out loud... Sh----

"Huh?" Grace blinked at her, "oh... I was glaring wasn't I?"

Ally looked at her incredulously, how did she NOT know she was glaring?

"Yeah, been glaring at me since we got home... I tried not to be too messy today, so if something happened, I'm sorry?" Ally apologized to the now amused girl in front of her.

"No, I was just thinking... a friend of mine had been talking about how great her job is going... I'm happy for her, don't get me wrong, but.... I really wish I could go on to do my dream job," Grace confessed to her.

"What would that be?" Ally asked the woman.

"Interior decorating," Grace clarified.

That was funny, Ally actually knew some people who were in that business. She knew them via coffee shop, they complimented her mad holiday decorating skillz.

"How about you? What's your dream job?" Grace asked her.

"I like being a barista. In fact Mrs. Jenison told me that she was thinking of leaving me the place when her husband lands big gig with his job... but I'd like to write a book. I really love science fiction, and I already have everything planned out, I just... really need to find d time and inspiration to write it all, you know?" She looked to the side, slightly blushing, not that it was too noticeable.

She had a reputation to keep up you know, if she blushed at her dreams, then she'd be in deep Shi-

"Yeah, that sounds nice," Grace interrupted her thoughts once again.

Maybe living here wouldn't be so hard. In fact Ally defiantly could say things would probably be running a lot smoother from here on out.

She smiled at Grace, and nodded.
