Grace sighed uneasily from across Ally. She knew what was going to happen, and it wasn't going to be good, or end well at all. Tonight was like any other night, they both got home, Ally made some dinner, and they sat down to watch one of her precious animes.Surprisingly, Ally's work allowed her to keep Asuna with her, so they didn't have to worry about leaving her home alone. apparently her boss just adored the puppy, and so did the customers, so that was always fun.
one of the many things she had learned about Ally was that she had a weird talent for finding the most random junk for almost no cash. She would sometimes leave the apartment and come back with more old or new sort of valuables then she could carry.
Grace followed her once, and ALLY just walked around and found them in either garage sales or old stores, or somewhere on the street. The. She presumed to take them home and fix them if needed, or leave it somewhere forgotten till she needed it...
Back to the point though.
Grace was very nervous...
why?
simple, let me elaborate...
Their next door neighbor was coming back from his cruise at the Bahamas with all 34 cats. that's right, 34. surprisingly, he manages to keep track of every. last. one. of. them. she didn't really know how he did it, she just knew he did. that however wasn't what she was worried about.
she was worried about him meeting Ally. not that he wouldn't be nice, oh no, he's quite the friendly guy, and that is a WELL KNOWN fact in this apartment building. no, what was she worried about was that he was a little too friendly. as in he would literally just pick lock their front door and walk in to just wake them up at an ungodly hour, or to make thousands of cookies to surprise them in the morning with.
he does that with Grace the most, because she lives right next to him.
his name Jack Danson (literally pronounced dance on).
he didn't really have a job, at least not one that he had to leave the apartment building for. He was a video game programmer, and the company he worked for were perfectly cool with letting him do his thing at home, and well... he broke into her apartment a lot, especially when she was at work.
It didn't help he got paid A LOT, so he could afford to drown her apartment in cookie dough on accident...
The thing was, is that Ally didn't like strangers. At. All. not to mention she doesn't like intruders, so if he comes and breaks in their apartment in the middle of the night, he's probably going to die a VERY painful death.
Ally had only been living in the apartment for about six week, and Grace hadn't really mentioned Jack, and she knew she needed to bring something up...
So she fixed her crooked glasses, and turned to the girl next to her who was totally engrossed in the anime that was on, and got prepared to speak...
BANG!!!
Right as she had opened her mouth, the front door had burst open, and ALLY was already on her feet...
When Grace looked at the doorway there was the obnoxiously tall man with Burnett hair and green eyes... standing in the middle of a huge pile of cookies with a smile that would put the joker to shame.
"I HEARD THERE'S A NEW RESIDENT!!!" He bellowed out happily.
Of course, he was knocked down by none other then Ally, who had jumped at him to take him down.
"Who the check are you?!" Ally had cried out as Grace rushed over, trying to get through all of the cookies towards them.
Ally had the poor guy by his collar ready to throw any punches needed, with a face that said there might be a death on this freezing evening.
"WAIT!!!" Grace called out, managing to get there before things got violent.
"You know him?!" Ally growled out at her, as said guy looked slightly terrified, it that this probably hadn't happened before, Grace was sure.
"He's a friend, I SWEAR JUST DON'T KILL THE POOR GUY!!!" Grace cried out trying to pull her away from him by her raised arm.
"Fine," Ally grumbled out, clearly not liking the guy.
"I, uh, made some cookies to welcome you to the building," Jack muttered, as Grace sighed at the mess, trying not to freak out at him for it.
Luckily, since Ally had moved in, she had gotten much better at not freaking out. She was VERY unsure if that was a good or bad thing...
"Huh?" Ally looked confused, before looking around, apparently just now noticing the mess...
Grace swore her eyes turned into stars as she grabbed a nearby cookie, which Grace couldn't help but cringe at the unsanitary choice.
When Ally bit into the cookie, all seemed forgiven....
"Yummmmmmmmyyyyyyy," Ally hummed out in contentment, to which Grace introduced her palm to her forehead...
And that's when Jack's army of cats managed to barrel through the door into the apartment and ALLY looked like it was the best unbirthday ever....
And all hell broke loose....
