Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Overhearing and leaving

Cici's pov

I was laying there with my eyes closed enjoying the sunlight. I heard Ashley and Rydel talking. "He likes you so just try to get him to ask you out. You could ask him out. Just show him that you like him because he doesn't believe that you like him." A voice said. I reconised the voice to be Rydel's. I could here the whipping of Ashely's long chocolate brown hair as she shook her head. I could almost here the sigh that I knew Rydel let out. I rolled onto my stomach so that my back could get some sun. Riker started playing with my hair like he always used to. When we were little he used to wonder how I did my hair and he would mess it up. I was content. I felt the sand shift as Ross laid down between me and Ratliff. I sat up so that I could look at everyone. "Ross what's wrong?" I asked. He was deep in thought over something. He shook his head. "Ross, we've been best friends since I was five. I know when something's wrong." I replied. When he didn't say anything I rolled my eyes and laid back down.

Rocky's pov

I was talking to a really cute blond girl. Her name was Rose, short for Rosalie. She had golden eyes that matched her pale blond hair that fell in waves down her back. Her skin was a pale tan and she owe a baby pink bathing suit. When she had to go, she gave me a hug and walked away. I smiled and walked back to our blanket. The sun was about to set so everyone was sitting there waiting. Riker was sitting next to Cici and Ross was next to the new friend Ashely. I sat next to Ratliff and Rydel. When the set was over, we packed everything up and headed for the car. Cici sat in front with Riker driving, Rydel sat in between Ratliff and a sad looking Ross. Ashely had to take her own car home and since there was no room for me, I sat in the back. We made it to the house in about 15 minutes and we all gathered up our stuff. We said our good byes and gave hugs before we all walked inside our houses.
