chapter 6

Thalia P.O.V.
After the hunters got over their initial shock they quickly bound the two males on the ground in front of them. They used the very chains that had bound them in that cage. I quietly prayed to our patron to help us. Within moments Artemis flashed in the group of girls. Several of they yelling in surprise not from their goddess but from Talon suddenly sitting up as soon she appeared. "Greetings, Lady Artemis" Talon said to the goddess of the hunt.

As a few of the other hunters were explaining to Artemis what happened I was watching the two bound boys. I noticed something glisten on Talon's face, I realised he is crying so I asked him "why are you crying boy, are you so weak being caught break down in tears?"

He turned his head in my direction and replied "Doesn't all this death make you sad?" His voice sounding so broken and sad.

"You were the one that killed them though, and they were filthy men anyway who cares that they are dead they deserved it." One of the older hunters snarled.

Talon hung his head at her words "but it is such a sad thing no mater who it was that died, it is sad for life to be taken from something and there will always be someone that will grieve for them... Even if it is just me alone ."

"You don't know what it is like to feel someone's life ebb away from their body, yes you may have taken lives but you would use your bows and keep a distance when you have taken as many lives as I have up close with nothing your bare hands then you will have the right to judge when a life should be taken.

"I saved your lives, I rescued you from certain death, from these men forcing themselves on you, from torture, and countless other possibilities but in thanks I am bound like the man who did harm you. Why? Because I am a filthy male there fore I must have done something wrong and I need to be punished for it."

All the hunters looked uneasy taking in his words before Phobie mutter half to herself "that's right all males are filthy monsters."

Talon snapped his head to her "therefore by your own rules I can do that to you for being a female so I should capture you bind you and then put you to..." All the sudden Talon dashed forward the chains around his arms falling to the ground still in one piece "...death" he whispered in Phobie's ear while he held a long knife to her neck.

Instantly every now was pointed at him. Lady Artemis fired first then everyone else shot at Talon. He just laughed and jumped in the air. I watched as he skin and flipped in the air dodging and blocking every single arrow. When he landed he started laughing to himself but then an arrow sprouted from his chest. We all started at it then he stumbled as he turned around and I saw Phobie holding her now with a look of rage on her face.

Talon feel to the ground "well would you look at that" he mumbled under his breath. Then he jumped and lines at her.

"Look into me eyes, watch as my life drains from my body." He grabbed her hand and shoved it against his chest. "Feel my life blood leave me. Learn what it really means to take a life." She struggling but even as he was dieing he was stronger than her.

None of us could seem to move he died holding her close. As his last breath left his body Phobie finally fell down and we all ran to her but she just stared at the body in front of her, reacting to nothing else. "I could feel it. I saw it in his eyes." She muttered to herself

I could really tell that she was shaken by what just happened. A few of the hunters were saying calming things trying to get the older hunter back with us, but she just kept muttering those things over and over.

"Alright enough with that now wake up little one your other captive is escaping." That snaps Phobie up and she stares behind us.

I turn around to see Talon standing up and riping the arrow from his chest. Phobie faints at the sight is the small hole in his chest just slowly closer up after the arrow was removed. "How is this possible I felt you die I saw and felt your life force vanish?" Artemis asks shocked.
